(TORONTO) -- Charlie Sheen, who was often seen smoking during earlier shows, was reportedly threatened with a $100,000 fine for smoking onstage during his "Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat Is Not An Option tour.
Health officials warned Sheen that public health inspectors would be watching to enforce the policy, according to GlobalToronto.com.
"I would encourage him, given that he is a smoker, to call our hotline and to try and quit smoking for his own health," Ontario Health Promotion Minister Margaret Best told the online news site.
He lit up an electronic cigarette instead during his Toronto show.
