Clooney Denies Ex Sent Him Angry Texts over His New Relationship

Jamie McCarthy/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- There’s no ill will between George Clooney and ex-girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis over his current relationship with Stacy Keibler.

The current issue of Us Weekly claims Canalis, who was eliminated from Dancing with the Stars this week, sent Clooney angry text messages after she found out that he’s romancing Keibler.

Clooney denies the report, telling E! News, "I never comment on my personal life unless it affects others...and this lie affects others.  Since I would be the only actual witness, I asked [them] to correct [their] story immediately, but that would assume [they] cared at all about telling the truth."

Canalis also says the story is false.

Elisabetta Canalis Voted Off ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Craig Sjodin/ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- Elisabetta Canalis, the Italian model and George Clooney ex, was voted off ABC’s Dancing With the Stars Tuesday night.

Canalis and actor David Arquette were both in jeopardy of being eliminated, based on a combination of judges’ scores and audience votes.

After the announcement that she was the celebrity leaving the show, Canalis thanked all her supporters.

“For me, it was a gift … it was a great experience,” she said, smiling.

In scenes from her practice with pro partner, Val Chmerkovskiy, that aired before both performances, Canalis seemed at times to be frustrated about her own performance, noting that dancing was not easy for her.

Canalis -- perhaps most famous in the United States for being George Clooney’s ex-girlfriend -- turned in a disappointing performance in last week’s season-13 premiere, earning a score of 15 out of a possible 30 for her cha cha cha. That was just one point more than the night’s low score from NBA player Metta World Peace (formerly Ron Artest). He was the first celeb dancer sent home.

Canalis turned in a much better performance Monday night. The judges praised her quickstep, awarding her and Chmerkovskiy a total of 21 points.

“It’s not great, but it was better than last week,” judge Len Goodman told the pair after their dance. Fellow judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Toniolo gave far more favorable feedback.

Author and activist Chaz Bono had Monday night’s lowest overall score, with 17 points, while former talk show host Ricki Lake topped the leader board with 23.

The competition continues Monday with Lake, Arquette, Bono, TV star Kristin Cavallari, TV host Nancy Grace, reality TV personality Rob Kardashian, fashion guru Carson Kressley, Iraq war veteran and actor J.R. Martinez, singer Chynna Phillips and World Cup star Hope Solo.

'Dancing with the Stars' Debuts with Chynna Phillips, J.R. Martinez on Top

ABC(LOS ANGELES) -- ABC kicked off the 13th season of Dancing with the Stars Monday night with a new cast and a new, bigger set that had a raised dance floor and more balconies.

All eyes were on Chaz Bono, the first transgender contestant in series history. He ended the night in the middle of the pack on the leader board. It was Chynna Phillips and J.R. Martinez who most distinguished themselves on the first night by sharing the top spot.

Here's the rundown of Monday night's individual performances:

-- Though he officially changed his name to Metta World Peace on Friday, Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke said he was performing Monday night as the "NBA champion you know, Ron Artest." The Los Angeles Lakers forward, wearing a flashy vest and sporting blond hair, teamed with new pro Petra Murgatroyd on the cha cha cha. Judge Len Goodman dismissed it as the "same old shimmying about," calling Artest's footwork "atrocious." Fellow judge Bruno Tonioli said Artest would find it difficult to navigate the dance floor due to his long bones. Total score: 14 out of a possible 30.

-- Rob Kardashian looked much more dapper than he usually does on his reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians. A clean-shaven, tuxedo-wearing Kardashian and partner Cheryl Burke performed the Viennese waltz to Rogue Wave's "Lake Michigan." Judge Carrie Ann Inaba said she sees potential in Kardashian, but Goodman urged him to show more fire. Total score: 16/30.

-- Former Laguna Beach and The Hills star Kristin Cavallari paired with Mark Ballas on a cha cha cha set to the Taio Cruz hit "Dynamite." Inaba said she wants to see more of Cavallari this season, praising her for her great movement and "sparkle." Tonioli said Cavallari needs to demonstrate better precision with her moves. Total score: 19/30.

-- Wilson Phillips member Chynna Phillips and partner Tony Dovolani performed a graceful Viennese waltz to Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You." Goodman said it wasn't the best first dance he's seen, "but it was close." Tonioli said "the talent is there" for Phillips to accomplish a lot on the show. Inaba declared that the dance was simply gorgeous. Total score: 22/30.

-- HLN legal analyst Nancy Grace acquitted herself well while dancing the cha cha cha with newcomer Tristan McManus. While Tonioli told Grace it appeared that she doesn't believe in herself, Inaba said Grace showed spunk. Total score: 16/30.

-- While the house band played Queen's "Somebody to Love," a debonair David Arquette and reigning champ Kym Johnson took on the Viennese waltz. Inaba pointed out that he made a mistake, and advised him to keep his poise at all times. Goodman said he was impressed by Arquette's first dance. Of note: Arquette's estranged wife, Courteney Cox, and their seven-year-old daughter Coco were in attendance. Total score: 18/30.

-- Italian model and George Clooney ex Elisabetta Canalis began her cha cha cha with new pro Val Chmerkovskiy by lying in bed with him. They quickly got up and shimmied their way through their routine, to the sounds of the Katy Perry hit "Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)." Toniolo joked that she looks good in bed. Inaba said Canalis needs to learn to move with the music. Total score: 15/30.

-- U.S. women's national soccer team goalie Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy glided around the dance floor with a Viennese waltz set to Dave Matthews Band's "Satellite." Tonioli said Solo has a bright future, but she must show more control. Inaba applauded Solo's wonderful chemistry with her partner. Total score: 21/30.

-- Carson Kressley and Anna Trebunskaya made the biggest fashion statement of the night. The former Queer Eye for the Straight Guy star wore brown pants and a brown jacket, and Trebunskaya donned a barely-there dress. Together, they did a fun and lively cha cha cha to the current Maroon 5 hit "Moves Like Jagger." An excited Inaba called it her favorite dance of the night. Goodman said it had elements of Jagger, swagger and stagger. Total score: 17/30.

-- Soap star J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff performed an elegant Viennese waltz to Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway." Tonioli said it was a good start for someone who has no dance experience. Inaba said she felt genuine emotion from Martinez. Total score: 22/30.

-- Ricki Lake and the returning Derek Hough were assigned the Viennese waltz. Tonioli described Lake as the "cat that got the cream." In other words, she had smooth moves. Inaba likened them to a prince and princess. Total score: 20/30.

-- The controversial Chaz Bono -- wearing black pants, a white shirt, black vest and a tie -- and his partner, Lacey Schwimmer, brought plenty of energy to the cha cha cha as the house band played Martha and the Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street." Inaba said Bono did not disappoint the crowd, Goodman told Bono he approached the dance with the right attitude, and Tonioli called it a great debut. Total score: 17/20.

Tuesday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, ABC will air a behind-the scenes special on Dancing with the Stars.  It will be followed by the first results show of the season, during which one of the couples will be eliminated.

Does George Clooney Have a New Girlfriend?

ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- George Clooney recently split with Elisabetta Canalis, but rumor has it that he's already got himself another gal pal that he will be taking to the Venice Film Festival next month.

However, that's news to Clooney.  The actor said in a statement sent to E! News that you can't believe everything you read.

He explained, "The Italian press, from Corriere Della Sera to TGCOM, Ansa, NewNotizie, and even Vanity Fair are all running a story that quotes me as saying that I'm bringing a 'new girl' to the Venice Film Festival.  I never made that statement and it's not true.  It was made up to sell tabloid magazines.  It's a ridiculous lie and should be corrected as publicly as it was originally written."

George Clooney's Ex 'Down in the Dumps,' Her Mom Says

Jamie McCarthy/WireImage(ROME) -- George Clooney's now-ex-girlfriend, Italian model Elisabetta Canalis, is having a hard time dealing with their breakup.

In an interview with the Italian edition of Vanity Fair, her mother, Bruna, says Canalis is "very down in the dumps" and "very sad."  Canalis' father, Cesare, also spoke to Vanity Fair, calling Clooney a "nice guy" but conceding that his family was not used to the attention they received when they met him during a get-together that was captured by the paparazzi.

The avowed bachelor actor and Canalis announced the end of their relationship last week, just weeks after she told an Italian magazine that she looked forward to being married.  They'd dated for two years.

Is Elisabetta Canalis Hoping to Wed George Clooney?

Jamie McCarthy/WireImage(MILAN, Italy) -- Could George Clooney’s girlfriend of two years, Elisabetta Canalis, be the woman who makes the actor break his vow to never marry again? In an interview with the Italian magazine Chi, Canalis hinted at the possibility of marriage, saying, "I am a firm believer in marriage, in the future I will be married, but for the time being I am happy as I am." The actress added that she is happy to be living a “fairytale” life and that her and George “are a couple that never gets bored."

As for the rumors circulating that Clooney is on the verge of dumping his Italian bombshell, Canalis said, "Whenever I see my picture in a magazine I know what is being written. They all say that I spend my time organizing parties and that my boyfriend does not want to marry me and be with me anymore." She continued, "My boyfriend has not given an interview on his private life since 1999 -- everything that you read is just a rehash of stuff that has been written in the past."
