Debra Messing and Husband Daniel Zelman Have Split

Stephen Lovekin/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Debra Messing and her husband have separated after more than a decade of marriage.

“Debra Messing and Daniel Zelman privately separated earlier this year after a 10 year marriage,” a rep for Messing told ABC News. “The decision was mutual, and they remain supportive of one another and committed to raising their son as a family.”

The former Will and Grace star, 43, and actor/TV producer Zelman, 44, met while attending New York University and married in 2000. They have a 7-year-old son, Roman.

The two were seen together as recently as October, when they dressed up as Dia de los Muertos dolls at Bette Midler’s New York City Halloween party.

Messing will next be seen in the new NBC musical drama Smash.

Celebrities Embracing Concept of House Wives

Eugene Gologursky/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Before hospitals became part of the basic standard of care, women gave birth at home. Now, it seems that home birthing is back.

Hollywood moms are increasingly opting to have their babies at home rather than in the hospital. Jennifer Connelly, Gisele Bundchen, Alanis Morissette and Alyson Hannigan are all new moms who are part of this growing trend.

So is actress and former talk show host, Ricki Lake. She told ABC's Good Morning America about her reasons for choosing home birth.

"With TMZ and paparazzi, it was nice not to leave and not have cars chasing you and trying to get the picture of your baby," she said.

In fact, Lake has become the face of Hollywood home birth. In her documentary, The Business of Being Born, she showcased the water birth of her second son, Owen.

"Your own space is so sacred. Something about being home and not having to pick up and leave and to not be in a place where people are sick and there's germs and everything is so sterile and cold and impersonal. Just having freedom," Lake said.

For her soon-to-be-released follow-up film, Lake interviewed singer/songwriter Pink, and supermodels Cindy Crawford and Gisele Bundchen.
