(BALTIMORE) -- Actress Felicia "Snoop" Pearson of HBO's The Wire pleaded guilty Monday to drug-related charges in a deal struck a day before her trial was scheduled to begin.
Pearson, 31, was sentenced to three years' probation after agreeing to plead guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin as part of a massive drug bust by federal investigators earlier this year.
Authorities say Pearson was one of 64 people arrested in March for her role in a a multistate drug trafficking operation that was foiled by investigators when they, ironically, wire-tapped individuals under what they called "Operation Usual Suspects."
Pearson's trial was scheduled to begin Tuesday in Baltimore.
