(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan continues to insist she did not steal a necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store last month. Even as TMZ.com claims the 24-year-old Mean Girls star will face a felony grand theft charge in connection with the incident in the near future, her attorney says Lindsay won't go down without a fight. Shawn Chapman Holley tells People magazine, "We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press."
Police had obtained a search warrant that allowed them to search Lindsay's home for the $2,500 necklace, but a stylist reportedly returned the item to police before the warrant was executed. Police last week turned over their findings in the investigation to Los Angeles prosecutors.
