Rihanna's New Fragrance Nude Launching on Black Friday

PRNewsFoto/Parlux Ltd.(NEW YORK) -- Rihanna is turning Black Friday into Nude Friday.  Her third signature fragrance, Nude, will launch at Macy's on Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving, according to Women's Wear Daily.

The perfume, which follows Rihanna's other scents Reb'l Fleur and Rebelle, is more "personal" than her first two, according to the singer.  It includes ingredients that she says remind her of growing up in Barbados, such as guava nectar, mandarin and pear.  Nude also includes orange blossom, gardenia petals and vanilla orchid.  Described as a "seductive floral oriental" blend, Nude will retail for $49 to $59.

According to Women's Wear Daily, Rihanna has mentioned the possibility of launching a cosmetics or hair-care line in the future.

The ad for Nude features a blonde Rihanna sporting a nude-color lacy bra, holding up some gauzy nude-colored fabric to the lower half of her body.  The elegant, triangular fragrance bottle is clear, with a nude swirl and a nude-and-silver cap.

New Michael Jackson Fragrances on the Way?

Photo Courtesy - PRNewsFoto(NICE, France) -- The latest products to capitalize on the late Michael Jackson are his-and-her fragrances inspired by floral aroma from plants that grow at Neverland Ranch, according to AFP.

The report says Jackson’s Tribute for men and Jackson’s Legend for women will go on sale March 7 in the U.S.  The fragrances reportedly are the result of a 50/50 partnership between the late singer’s father, Joe Jackson, and Julian Rouas Paris, a French fragrance manufacturer.  The company’s master perfumer says Jackson’s Legend for women has a fruity, floral aroma while Jackson’s Tribute for men features a more musky scent.

A spokesman for Michael Jackson’s estate tells AFP the fragrance venture is “a Joe Jackson deal” and the estate is not involved.

Jordin Sparks to Launch First Fragrance This Week

Photo Courtesy - Sony Music EntertainmentJordin Sparks is the latest female singer to introduce her very own signature fragrance.  Women's Wear Daily reports that the perfume is called "Because of You," which coincidentally also happens to be the title of a song by fellow American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

Through the month of October, Because of You will be exclusively available at Dots and Dots.com, a women's specialty and apparel store with 400 locations in 26 states.  Come November, it'll be distributed at 10,000 other locations, including Target.

Sparks tells Women's Wear Daily that the most important quality she wanted the fragrance to have, other than a good scent, was good value.  She explains, "I really wanted it to be affordable. I looked at some other celebrity fragrances and they were, like, 80 dollars....even now, I can't bring myself to spend that much."  Because of You will be sold at an introductory price of $9.50.  The price will then rise to $14.95 in November.

Sparks' fragrance is described as having "top notes of clementine, white imperial currant and orange blossom," a heart of "nectarine, baby orchid and peony" and a drydown of "musks, vanilla bean, amber and blond woods."  She explains, "I wanted it to transfer easily from day to night...it starts out as a day fragrance and becomes a night fragrance."
