(NEW YORK) -- 50 Cent has just landed yet another acting role, according to Variety.
In the film, a crime drama called Freelancers, he'll play the son of a murdered New York City cop who joins the force himself, and then finds himself on a team of "rogue" policemen. According to Variety, the movie will likely be directed by Jessy Terrero, who worked with the rapper on videos like "Candy Shop."
Since making his acting debut in 2005's semi-autobiographical Get Rich or Die Tryin', 50 Cent has appeared in about eight movies and has about three or four more in post-production.
He's also expected to release a new album, Black Magic, at some point later this year.
