Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Sneak In a Honeymoon Before "Gossip Girl"

Eric Charbonneau/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Since their hush-hush wedding on Sept. 9 in Charleston, S.C., People magazine reports that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds managed to enjoy another low-key affair -- a mini-honeymoon -- before Blake reported back to work on Monday at Gossip Girl.

According to what a source told People about the wedding ceremony, the couple, "promised to support and love each other and to make each other laugh." Days after the wedding, People magazine reports local residents saw Blake and Ryan smiling and shopping as they strolled through town.

The couple was sighted on Saturday as they dined at a secluded, garden-side table at Virginia's Inn at Little Washington, the Washington Post reports.  Blake was seen wearing dark skinny jeans, a cream-colored silk blouse, and gold sandals while Ryan wore a light blue shirt and khakis as the couple enjoyed a meal at celebrity chef Patrick O'Connell's posh inn and eatery.  Located about 90 minutes west of Washington D.C., meals at Virginia's Inn can last up to ten courses, and exclusive guest cottages can rent for upwards of $2,450 a night.

After the petite vacay, Blake was spotted on Monday when she arrived back to the New York City set of Gossip Girl, People reports.

The sixth season of Gossip Girl premieres Oct. 8.

"Gossip Girl" Star Kelly Rutherford's Kids May Remain in Monaco, Judge in Custody Case Says

Brand X Pictures/Thinkstock(MONACO, Calif.) -- A judge has ruled that Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford's children may remain in Monaco with their father.

Rutherford, 43, divorced Daniel Giersch, in 2009. Since then, the two have been battling over custody of their two children, Hermes and Helena, now 5 and 3 years old, respectively.

The judge's ruling on Tuesday granted both parents joint custody but said the children must remain in Monaco.

According to People magazine, the ruling said Rutherford's schedule was flexible enough to allow her to travel back and forth from the United States to Monaco to see the children.

Rutherford had sought sole custody of Hermes and Helena.

People reported that a spokesperson for Rutherford said an appeal is already in the works.

"Kelly is devastated by the court ruling and will never stop fighting for her children," the spokesperson noted.

Meanwhile, the magazine also reported that Giersch said he would not comment "to protect the children and also Kelly."

Rutherford plays the oft-married-and-divorced Lily Bass on Gossip Girl, the CW's hit nighttime teen drama. She also is known for having played Sam Whitmore on Generations and Megan Lewis on Melrose Place.

Giersch cannot enter the U.S. because his visa has been revoked.

Blake Lively Says "Gossip Girl" Isn't Her 'Best Quality of Work'

Theo Wargo/Getty Images for Target(NEW YORK) -- Gossip Girl star Blake Lively says she's looking forward to wrapping up the CW series after its upcoming sixth season because she knows it isn't her "best quality" of work.

Lively, who plays socialite Serena van der Woodsen, tells Bullettmedia.com, "It'll be bittersweet when it's over because it gave me all of this. I think the best way to describe it is like someone who really enjoyed high school, and is like, 'I'm a senior and I can’t wait for the next thing.'"

Lively adds, "As an actor who plays a caricature of myself on the show, I don’t think I’d say, 'Watch Gossip Girl for my best quality of work.' But I am very lucky to have had that experience."

Leighton Meester Sues Mom

Brand X Pictures/Thinkstock(LOS ANGELES) -- Mother-daughter relationships can be contentious enough on their own. Under the bright lights of Hollywood, they can turn downright destructive.

Latest example: Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester, who is suing her mom and ex-manager, Constance Meester, for custody of her younger brother after her mom allegedly spent money meant for her brother's medical bills to pay for her own cosmetic surgery instead.

Meester filed the suit July 22 in Los Angeles, according to TMZ, which obtained the documents.

TMZ reports that Leighton Meester sent her mom $7,500 a month to help pay for her cancer survivor brother Lex's ongoing medical treatment. According to the suit, he has multiple health problems and is recovering from recent brain surgery.

But the 25-year-old Country Strong actress asserted that her mother spent the money on Botox, hair extensions, plastic surgery and other personal expenses.

Constance Meester, 55, claimed to TMZ that the monthly payments are part of a settlement for helping her daughter become successful. According to the suit, the mother maintains she had a verbal contract with Leighton Meester in which her daughter promised to give her $10,000 a month for the rest of her life. Leighton Meester has asked a judge to rule no such agreement exists.

Now, Constance Meester, who gave birth to her daughter while serving time in a federal prison for a drug smuggling conviction, is fighting back. She filed a countersuit in which she alleged that her daughter repeatedly "hit her with a bottle" last December, TMZ reported.

Leighton Meester Countersued by Mother

Photos.com/Jupiterimages(LOS ANGELES) -- Leighton Meester's mother wasted no time in responding to a lawsuit filed against her by the Gossip Girl star last week. Meester claims in her suit that her mom, Constance Meester, spent some of the $7,500 per month the actress says she sent for her ailing younger brother on cosmetic procedures.

According to E! Online, Constance has filed a countersuit, insisting that she had an agreement with her daughter to receive $10,000 per month -- a contention that Leighton denied in her complaint. Constance further claims that she spent over $230,000 and "sacrificed her happiness" by moving around the country to help launch Leighton's career. TMZ.com reports that Constance says the money sent by Leighton was not intended for her brother, but was instead a type of settlement.

The allegations don't end there. According to E! Online, Constance's lawsuit claims Leighton contacted social services and falsely accused Constance of abusing a wound on her son's head. TMZ also says that Constance alleges Leighton attacked her with a bottle last December.

Leighton's lawsuit asks a judge to rule that she did not have a $10,000 per-month deal with her mother.
