Giuliana and Bill Rancic Expecting a Baby

Dan MacMedan/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- After years of sharing their tearful journey to create a family on their hit reality show, Giuliana and Bill Rancic are expecting.

"We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered," Giuliana told E! News. Bill shared her excitement saying, "We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey."

The couple expects their first child thanks to a gestational surrogate, meaning the child will genetically be a Rancic, in late summer.

The Rancics documented their struggle to conceive, including a miscarriage, failed fertility treatments and a breast cancer diagnosis, on their hit reality show Giuliana & Bill on Style TV.

"Because of the fact that we've been through so much, we're going to appreciate every step of being parents," Bill told ABC News Radio in April. "I think we're going to savor it and cherish it and we're going to be the best parents we can be."

When asked what type of mother Giuliana would be, her husband told ABC News Radio that she would be the "the disciplinarian in the relationship, which is a good thing."

Along with welcoming their first child, the couple also plans to renew their vows this summer. "I think it's time to have a celebration of life and renew our vows," Bill told ABC News Radio. "And this time we're going to write the vows because they're going to mean a lot more. We certainly put the 'in sickness and in health' vow to the test the last year and half."

Style TV's Giuiliana and Bill airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Guiliana Rancic Recovering from Breast Cancer Surgery

Dan MacMedan/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- The husband of Giuliana Rancic says the E! News personality, who revealed her battle with breast cancer earlier this week, is recovering at home after undergoing a double lumpectomy.

Speaking with NBC's Today show on Thursday, Bill Rancic said, "She's a trooper, she pulled through it and was kind of relieved to get it over with and get the cancer out and is doing well at home...I'm adding nurse to my resume now."

Rancic said his wife has a follow-up visit with the doctor scheduled for Friday, and that she hopes to return to work next week.

On Monday, Guiliana Rancic, 37, told the Today show her cancer was caught in its early stages during a mammogram as she underwent a third round of in-vitro fertilization in an effort to get pregnant.
