(LOS ANGELES) -- Former heavyweight boxing champ Mike Tyson will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, TMZ reports.
The website reports Iron Mike will be inducted on March 31 at American Airlines Arena in Miami, Florida. The ceremony will take place one day ahead of WrestleMania XXVIII.
Tyson tells TMZ, “I am honored to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. I was the youngest heavyweight champion of all time, but the most fun I ever had in the ring was with WWE.”
The boxer’s relationship with the WWE dates from 1998 when he served as special enforcer at WrestleMania XIV. He hosted Monday Night Raw last year.
Tyson joins several other non-wrestlers in the WWE Hall of Fame, including Drew Carey and Pete Rose.
