Beyonce, Jay-Z Top "Forbes'" List of World's Highest-Paid Celeb Couples

Al Bello/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Beyonce and Jay-Z are movin' on up.  When Forbes released its list of the world's highest-paid celebrity couples last year, the hip-hop power couple was the runner-up for the top spot.  This year, they've climbed to number one.

The magazine points out that though Beyonce put the brakes on her whirlwind schedule in 2011 to welcome into the world her daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, the mommy still raked in dough during her maternity leave.  According to Forbes, Beyonce pulled in large sums from her old hits, and that's on top of the money she's made from her platinum-selling album 4.

Between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2012, Forbes reports that Beyonce earned $40 million, thanks in part to her non-musical ventures, including a fragrance collection.

As for Jay-Z, he made millions as part of The Throne, which sold out arenas on a global tour.  He stacked slightly less dough than his wife, with Jay earning $38 million between May 1, 2011 and May 1, 2012.  Some of his money came from non-musical enterprises, including cosmetics company Carol's Daughter and ad firm Translation, according to Forbes.

Together, Beyonce and Jay-Z collected an annual income of $78 million.

Second on Forbes' list is supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her quarterback-husband, Tom Brady.  Combined, the duo pulled in $72 million between May of 2011 and May of 2012, thanks to her modeling work, his NFL salary, and their respective endorsement deals.

David and Victoria Beckham rank third with $54 million, ahead of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, who raked in $45 million, and Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, who collected $40 million.

In a new interview with the French magazine Gala, the 40-year-old actress lamented, “Every year, one celebrity couple is under the microscope. This year, unluckily, it’s us! I almost want to say that we should have been expecting it.”

Asked about the rumor that the couple no longer live under the same roof, Jada insisted, “That’s ridiculous. We’ve always lived together.”

“These rumors are completely untrue,” she continued. “I travel a lot because of my work, just like Will does. … But our lifestyle hasn’t changed. Before we had the kids, we were already far away from each other quite often because of separate projects.”

Jada added, “Will and I know the truth. We’re waiting peacefully for the storm to blow over.”

Jada, 40, and Will, 43, have been married since 1997. Together, they raise three children, Jaden, 13, Willow, 11, and Trey, 18, from a previous marriage.

Did Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith Set Up a Photo Opp?

Joe Scarnici/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Do you think the widely circulated photos of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith holding hands and smiling while strolling in Malibu, California on Wednesday were staged?  That's the theory being floated by In Touch Weekly.

A source told the magazine, "Jada set up pictures with Will to cover up rumors of any marriage problems.  They're worried about what divorcing will do to them."

The insider added, "They haven't even been living together, and now all of a sudden, they're out kissing?"

In Touch claims Will had a sneaking suspicion that something was going on between Jada and her Hawthorne co-star Marc Anthony, which led to a heated argument earlier this month. The Hawthorne camp apparently denied the rumors.
