January Jones Ate Her Own Placenta

Jordan Strauss/WireImage(LONDON) -- Mad Men star January Jones gave birth to a baby boy last September, and is now urging all new mothers to do what she did to boost her energy after giving birth -- eat their placentas.

The Daily Mail reports Jones told People magazine the placenta is packed with vitamins.

Jones says, “It was something I was very hesitant about, but we’re only the only mammals who don’t ingest our own placentas.  It’s not witch-crafty or anything.  I suggest it to all moms.”

Jones returned to the Mad Men set about seven weeks after her son Xander was born.  She tells People magazine returning to the set “was tough with the long days but work made it really comfortable for me.”

The fifth season of Mad Men premiered Sunday night with a two-hour episode.´╗┐

Jared Gilmore Warns His 'Mad Men' Replacement About January Jones

Jordan Strauss/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Now that 11-year-old Jared Gilmore has decided to take a series regular role on ABC’s show Once Upon a Time, a replacement for his role as Don and Betty’s son, Bobby, in AMC's Mad Men must be found, and Gilmore wants to give that person some advice.

TVGuide.com reports that Gilmore wants to warn his replacement about working with January Jones, saying, “She’s not as approachable as the others.  She’s really serious about what she does.”

But have no fear Mr. Replacement, because Gilmore added, “Everyone else is so nice.”

Gilmore's comments caught the attention of Mad Men star John Slattery, who tells E! Online Jones' reputation for stand-offishness is perception only.

"That's the character," says Slattery.  "Betty Draper is an intimidating woman I suppose, if you were a seven-year-old boy [or] her son."

When asked if Jones was a diva, Slattery declared, "No, she's a sweetheart.  We got lucky."

Did Baby Fever Come Between January Jones and Jason Sudeikis?

Jordan Strauss/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- We may not know who the father of January Jones' baby is, but it's likely a safe bet it's not Jason Sudeikis.  A source close to the Mad Men actress said Jones' desire to have a baby caused a rift with the Saturday Night Live star while they dated, reports Us Weekly

The source said, "If Jason were the dad, he'd step it up."  The insider also said Sudeikis was never really into starting a family, explaining, "She told him she wanted kids and it turned him off.  Jason was bummed out she was on the mommy track."

Jones, who revealed last week she's pregnant, hasn't disclosed the father's identity.  It's also unclear if her pregnancy will be written into any Mad Men story line.
