Britney’s Fiance Officially Appointed as Her Co-Conservator

Steve Granitz/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Britney Spears’ fiance, Jason Trawick, was named a co-conservator for the pop star by a Los Angeles judge on Wednesday, according to People magazine.

Along with Spears’ dad, Jamie Spears, Trawick will have a say in the pop star’s personal affairs but not in her financial affairs.  Spears’ dad continues to manage the latter.

A lawyer for Spears’ father said the request was made earlier this month by the singer. Jamie Spears has been his daughter’s conservator since her emotional breakdown in February 2008.

Britney Spears’ Fiance to Share Legal Control Over Her

Jeff Kravitz/FilmMagic/Getty Images (NEW YORK) -- Britney Spears’ father has asked a court to add his daughter’s fiancé as a co-conservator over her, according to PEOPLE.

Jason Trawick, Spears’ former agent and fiancé, will only have shared legal control over Spears’ general well-being, not her finances, PEOPLE reported.

“This is a very unusual situation, because generally you don’t see conservatees get married,” Jeffrey S. Cohen, an L.A. probate attorney not involved with the case, told the magazine. “This could be a sign that the couple’s wedding is around the corner.”

“This is probably a compromise between Britney, her father and Trawick to get the marriage off on the right foot. Obviously, her future husband needs to have a say in her well being,” Cohen added.

Jamie Spears has held legal control of his pop star daughter and her fortune since she suffered a psychological breakdown in 2008 and was hospitalized in Los Angeles.

The conservatorship will be lifted when a judge believes Spears is healthy enough to fend for herself.

Britney Spears Didn't Turn Down Boyfriend's Proposal, Says Rep

Steve Granitz/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- If In Touch Weekly is to be believed, Britney Spears received her long-awaited proposal from boyfriend Jason Trawick -- and turned him down!  Except it never happened, Britney's spokesperson tells E! Online.

The In Touch Weekly story claimed that Trawick initially was going to propose to Britney on Christmas, but he decided to do it on her 30th birthday, Dec. 2, instead.  The magazine claimed he got down on one knee and offered Britney an engagement ring, but she "panicked" and said she "needed time to think."  However, Britney's rep says the report is "entirely not true."

But now there's more. TMZ.com is reporting that Trawick will propose to Britney Friday night in Las Vegas. The website further reports that there will be a prenuptial agreement between the two.

Britney actually has already gifted Trawick -- not with a ring, but with a new set of wheels.

After tweeting on Wednesday that "poor Jason" had "less than five hours left to be in his 30s," she tweeted Thursday, "Hbday Jason! He looked so cool in the ["Criminal"] video that I had to get him a new motorcycle...Check out this new Confederate Bike I got him!" She then posted a photo on Facebook of the extremely cool-looking bike, as well as a picture of the birthday boy himself.

Will Britney Celebrate her 30th with a Ring?

Steve Granitz/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Britney Spears will mark her 30th birthday this Friday, and People magazine reports that she may celebrate with something sparkly.  A source tells People that Britney's longtime boyfriend Jason Trawick is ready to put a ring on it -- he's even picked one out -- and will pop the question soon.

"They’ve been talking about marriage for a long time. It would be surprising if they are not engaged by the end of the year," said the source, who added the singer is "really looking forward to turning 30.  She is having the one of the best times of her life."  Britney will finish up a successful world tour next week.

Britney Spears Lashes Out on Ex-Husband; Says New CD Out in March

Photo Courtesy - Jive Records(NEW YORK) -- Britney Spears has some strong words for her ex-husband Jason Alexander, who claimed to Star magazine that Spears confessed to him in a phone conversation that her boyfriend has attacked her.

Spears tweeted Thursday, "Star Magazine, Radar Online, Jason Alexander and the rest of you liars, Ya'll can kiss my lily-white Southern Louisiana [expletive]!"

RadarOnline.com this week posted audio of the alleged phone conversation between Spears and Alexander.

Despite adamant denials from the singer's camp, Alexander says he stands by his allegations.  He tells Star, "That it's absolutely my ex-wife Britney Spears on that tape.  I grew up with her since I was in 4th grade and I know her voice.  She has been calling me for years."

In a statement obtained by E!, Star magazine claimed, "Mr. Alexander passed a polygraph test administered by Star, where he was specifically asked, 'Did you record a phone conversation that you had with Britney Spears?'  Moreover, there is information in the tape, which Star may reveal at a later date, that would be known only by Ms. Spears."

In other news, Spears has revealed that her new album will drop in March.  She wrote on her Twitter feed, "I'm almost done with my new album and it will be coming out this March.  I AM IN L-O-V-E WITH IT!"

Britney Spears' Manager Denies Report She's in Abusive Relationship

Photo Courtesy - Jive Records(LOS ANGELES) -- Britney Spears' manager is denying a report in Star magazine that she's in an abusive relationship with boyfriend Jason Trawick.  He's also threatening legal action over the report.

Spears' former husband, Jason Alexander, who was married to her for 55 hours in 2004, is claiming in Star magazine that in a phone conversation in October, Spears told him Trawick "beat on" her, and hit her hard enough to blacken her eye.  RadarOnline.com posted poor quality audio of the alleged phone conversation, in which Alexander asks if Trawick proposed, and a female voice alleged to be Spears' replies, "Before or after he beat on me?"

However, Spears' manager Larry Rudolph tells Access Hollywood and Us Weekly magazine the voice on the tape is "100 percent not her," meaning Spears.  He further tells Access Hollywood, "Lawyers are amassing.  We are 100 percent talking stern and immediate legal action."

Similarly, another one of Spears' managers, Adam Leber, tweeted Wednesday, "RadarOnline clearly has no idea what Britney Spears sounds like.  These recordings are a joke."

An "official statement" posted on the singer's website says Trawick "has never laid a hand on Britney" and called the audio "so obviously fake as to be laughable."  The statement also says Spears hasn't spoken with Alexander in years.  The website confirms that she will pursue legal action against "all of the appropriate parties."
