"Jersey Shore" Star JWoww Engaged

Bill McCay/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- First Snooki, now her sidekick.  After months of rumors and speculation, Jenni “JWoww” Farley announced on Wednesday that she’s engaged to her long-term boyfriend, Roger Mathews.

“We are happy to confirm that the In Touch Weekly news is true,” JWoww’s rep said in a statement to ABC News.  “We are officially engaged and look forward to this next chapter in our lives!  Thank you to all of our fans for their well wishes.  We hope they find love at the Shore too!”

Mathews, who’s often featured on MTV’s Jersey Shore and the spin-off Snooki & JWoww, popped the question while the two were skydiving on Sept. 14.

“The whole time I’m screaming, ‘What are you doing?  What’s going on?’” she told In Touch of the proposal.  “He’s like, ‘I want to spend the rest of my life with you!  Will you allow me to?’”

The larger-than-life reality star got an engagement ring to match her personality.

“Roger’s not an average-looking guy, he’s huge: his personality, his size,” said JWoww.  “So I always said, ‘I want my ring like you -- big!  The bigger the better!’”

In a statement, MTV said, “We offer our best wishes and a huge congratulations to Jenni and Roger on the news of their engagement.  After seeing the ring, all we can say is ‘JWOWW.’”

Snooki Talks Pregnancy, Baby Names on MTV

Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- MTV aired a Jersey Shore screening party with the cast Thursday night ahead of the season finale.  Snooki was finally able to talk about her pregnancy and explain why she delayed the news.

"I wanted to make sure everything was healthy," she said.

Snooki also talked about how life has changed since she found out she's going to be a mom, saying, "Of course I love partying, but now I'm in total mom mode, and you know, I just can't wait to have a kid now."

She also pointed out a benefit of having a child at the age of 24 that most people haven't considered: "Having a kid so young means, I can be a MILF," meaning a "Mom I'd Like to F***."

While she admits the pregnancy was a surprise, she says she always knew she wanted to be a mom and have "guido babies."

As for baby names, Snooki says if it's a boy, it might be Jionni Jr., Lorenzo, Tommy or Tony.  She has no ideas for girls' names.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley, meanwhile, sounded off about her upcoming TV project with Snooki, saying, "The spin-off is, is more like [a] 'last hurrah' before I settle down with Roger."

JWoww added, "And [it's] kinda the same with [Snooki], 'cause now there's a time limit on [her]."

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(JERSEY CITY, N.J.) -- A wine and spirits store in Jersey City, N.J., has banned Jersey Shore stars Snooki and JWoww from it premises, reports TMZ, which posted pictures of the owner's hand-written "NO SNOOKI" sign.

The manager of the store, which is located next door to Snooki's New Jersey home, told TMZ, "The only thing they are good for is ridicule and amusement.  There is no upside business wise, and the potential downside is God knows what.  Why feed the embarrassment?"

NJ Mayor Receives Award for Rejecting 'Jersey Shore' Spin-Off

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(HOBOKEN, N.J.) -- After announcing late last month that her city denied a film permit to producers of an upcoming Jersey Shore spin-off, the mayor of Hoboken, N.J., has received kudos from an Italian-American organization.

The Italian-American One Voice Coalition, which aims to fight defamation, discrimination and negative stereotyping against Italian-Americans, was slated to give Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer its "Una Voice" award before a city council meeting on Wednesday night, according to The Jersey Journal.

The president of the organization said in a statement, "MTV’s Jersey Shore has been a blight on the State of New Jersey as well as an insult to all Italian-Americans."

Zimmer has said the film permit was denied "based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents."

In its statement, the Italian-American One Voice Coalition accused Jersey City of taking "one step backwards" by granting a film permit to the spin-off.

The spin-off will star Jersey Shore cast members Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley -- neither of which, incidentally, are actually Italian.

'Jersey Shore' Spin-Off Headed to Jersey City

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- After being snubbed by Hoboken, N.J., Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley will take their Jersey Shore spin-off elsewhere in the state.

WNYW-TV in New York reports producers of the project have obtained film permits from Jersey City officials and will shoot in restaurants and bars there.

Late last month, Hoboken's mayor said a request by producers to shoot the spin-off in her city was denied in order to protect "public safety and quality of life concerns" for local residents.

'Snooki' and 'JWoww' Respond to Hoboken Film Permit Snub

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley don't understand why Hoboken, N.J., officials are refusing to let them shoot a spin-off of their hit MTV series Jersey Shore in the city.

Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer said this week a film permit for the spin-off was denied due to, "public safety and quality of life concerns."  But Farley argues that she and Polizzi would have made positive contributions to the city.

Appearing with Polizzi on a New York City radio show Wednesday morning, Farley said, "It's their loss. We're just trying to help the economy in Jersey and we're trying to bring profit to it.  What's wrong with that?"

Polizzi isn't taking the Hoboken snub personally.  She said, "I love Hoboken.  No hate.  Maybe [Zimmer] just doesn't like our tans, I don't know."

After the city's decision was made public, Zimmer told ABC News Radio she didn't, "want people coming and destroying -- hootin' and hollerin' in the middle of the night, and destroying our city."

Farley said Wednesday that she and Polizzi didn't even know Hoboken was a potential filming location for their spin-off until Zimmer issued her statement.

NJ City Denies Film Permit for 'Jersey Shore' Spin-Off

Jason Merritt/Getty Images(HOBOKEN, N.J.) -- Hoboken, N.J., has denied a request by 495 Productions to shoot a Jersey Shore spin-off, starring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, in the city for MTV.

In a memo posted on the official Hoboken website, Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer writes, "Based on protecting public safety and quality of life concerns for Hoboken residents, the City has denied a film permit for a spin-off of the Jersey Shore to be filmed in public locations."

Additional letters posted on the site note that the request was for a "reality-based" series that would have required 700 hours of film to produce a one-hour broadcast.  The letter says the proposed 24-hour filming permit would have violated a Hoboken law that prohibits filming in residential areas after 11:00 p.m.

Furthermore, Zimmer says city officials expressed surprise that 495 Productions in the past had filmed in public areas without a necessary permit and instead reached "informal 'verbal agreements'" that involved "payments to individuals."  Zimmer says the city of Hoboken has "zero tolerance" for such actions.

Zimmer expanded on her concerns in an interview with ABC News Radio.  She says she's seen the wild antics of the Jersey Shore crew on MTV, and she doesn't "want people coming and destroying -- hootin' and hollerin' in the middle of the night, and destroying our city."

495 Productions can appeal the decision through the Hoboken Film Commission.

'Jersey Shore' Star Complains About TSA Treatment

Bill McCay/WireImage(FARGO, N.D.) -- Jersey Shore star JWOWW claims she was "treated like a criminal" by security at Fargo’s Hector International Airport in North Dakota.

JWOWW, whose real name is Jenni Farley, tweeted that being selected for a pat-down by Transportation Security Administration officers seemed “odd and deliberate.”

“I’ve been patted down a bunch n don’t mind but after I’m getting on a plane seems odd and deliberate to me,” she wrote. “Hate when people abuse authority.”

The reality star says she noticed a TSA officer pointing at her while she was getting coffee earlier.  JWOWW was in Fargo Saturday to make an appearance at a local club.

The TSA responded to the incident by telling GossipCop.com, “As part of TSA’s layered approach to security, passengers may be subject to various random screening measures at the checkpoint or the gate. In this case, a number of passengers were randomly selected according to a pre-set protocol for gate screening prior to boarding an aircraft.”

JWOWW tweeted about having been “patted down,” but the TSA claims the "particular screening protocol consisted of a simple swab of passenger’s hands and did not include a pat down or additional screening of carry-on items."
