"Jersey Shore" Finale: The Gang Says Goodbye

MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- The last-ever installment of Jersey Shore began with the gang having a bonfire on the beach, at which, despite Sitch bragging he's in the best shape of his life, Jionni smoked him in football.  Proud, Snooki said it would mean he gets extra "pee pee time."

The girls went to the tanning salon, where Paula left Sitch some dessert.  At home, the gang debated the wisdom of eating a cake made by a jilted ex, but Sitch and Pauly -- and apparently Deena -- partake.

Pauly and Vinny tried to move Ronnie and Sam's inflatable bed as a prank, but accidentally popped it.  Ronnie tries to refill it, but then starts blaming Sam, as the prank was retribution for an earlier gag she pulled on the guys.

Pauly and Mike celebrated their birthdays, and shortly after that, Ronnie goes ballistic on Sam because she wasn't apologetic enough about the prank.  They talk about breaking up, but eventually kiss and make up.

The gang went back to the tanning salon, and Paula's co-workers showed a picture to the roomies that showed the cake Sitch and Pauly ate had been touched by a part of a man's anatomy.  Ronnie dubbed the consumed dessert "nut cake."

When Sitch tried to confront Paula about it over the phone, she pretended she can't hear him.  Furious, Sitch destroyed the house's hated duck phone once and for all.  In fact, the finale ended with an "In Memoriam" segment to the device.

The series ended where it began: with the roomies hanging out on the deck, looking back at what happened to them.

The next morning, the gang packed up, and shared tears in front of the Seaside Heights home they shared.

After the finale, the gang got together again for a live reunion show.

"Jersey Shore" Comes to an End Thursday Night

MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- After three years and six seasons on MTV, Jersey Shore ends its run Thursday night.

The show made household names of Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Paul "Pauly D" DelVecchio, Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Deena Cortese, Vinny Guadagnino and others.  Their adventures often included alcohol and/or sex.

However, Cortese, a member of the cast since season three, says she's matured during her stint on the series.

She tells ABC News Radio, "There are some things I did first season that I would never do now.  You know, like forgetting to wear like underwear to the club was stupid.  I was so drunk that I forgot, like now I would never do that."

Cortese's favorite memories on the show involve her pal Snooki.

She says, "My ultimate highlight was probably my meatball days with Nicole, 'cause those always were fun, and you know, never dramatic.  It was just like me and Nicole having a really genuinely good time together."

The series finale airs at 10 p.m., followed by a reunion special an hour later.

Former "Jersey Shore" Star Not Invited to Hurricane Sandy Telethon

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- While the cast of Jersey Shore were invited to participate in MTV's Hurricane Sandy telethon Restore the Shore on Thursday night, one former member of the show did not get an invitation, reports

Angelina Pivarnick, who you may remember appeared in three episodes in season one and 10 episodes in season two, was completely ignored by organizers and MTV.  And she is not very happy about it.

Pivarnick told on Thursday, "I remain uninvited to participate …even after attempts to contact the organizers by my management team."

She added that it is just a "sore reminder of how I have been treated in the past."

Pivarnick continued, "This is a time where they should suck it up and stand on one side of the room and let me be there. I am very hurt by this."

She said she's volunteering with local businesses and the Red Cross, and she thinks that Restore the Shore is a wonderful cause.

Pivarnick was replaced by Deena Nicole Cortese after season two of Jersey Shore.

"Jersey Shore" Stars Sound Off on Hurricane Sandy

MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- One of the hardest hit regions battered by Hurricane Sandy over the weekend was the famed Jersey shore.  While celebrated for generations before anyone ever heard of Snooki, many of the Jersey shore landmarks seen on the hit MTV reality show of the same name have been damaged or destroyed.

While the gang's summer house is said to be standing, the roller coasters they've ridden on and the boardwalk they've stumbled on are now twisted into the Atlantic.  Restaurants seen in the show and the Shore Store where the roommates worked were pounded by the rushing surf.

The stars of the show are sounding off in statements and via social media.

"Sandy destroyed Seaside -- our second home," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi said to MTV.  She also tweeted, " prayers go out to everyone affected!," before later posting she and baby Lorenzo were seeking shelter at her mom's home in upstate New York.

"Seeing seaside and what has happened in my hometown is beyond devastating.  I have no words," tweeted Sammi Giancola.

Ronnie Magro tweeted, "This is crazy living there for 4 summers & seeing in such disaster! What do u mean no more boardwAlk?," while Jenni "JWoww" Farley said in a statement, "I am thinking about my second family at the Jersey Shore and know that we can rebuild and come back stronger."

On an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, JWoww explained her fiancee Roger was on his jet-ski, rescuing people from the flooded Seaside streets.

"Jersey Shore" Cast Discusses Rehab, Careers and More

MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- Having just launched the final season of the show that made them famous, the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore -- minus new mom Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi -- reunited on ABC's Good Morning America Wednesday.

Seeing as so much changed between seasons five and six, what with Snooki getting pregnant and having her baby Lorenzo, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino's trip to rehab -- they had a lot to catch up about with GMA's Amy Robach.

Sitch called rehab, "one of the most difficult experiences in my life," but allowed, "once you get through it, it's obviously one of the most rewarding..."  The reality star also talked about having to make amends with each cast member, as was seen on last week's season premiere.

As for fame, Vinny Guadagnino insists the cast would have been fine if the chance to be on the show never came along, saying, "I was...going to law school before this, and we all had real jobs: Ronnie worked in real estate and...I was a political science major, you know, we were all doing different things.  I think we would have been OK."

The show however, has changed their lives -- and not just because of their much-expanded bank accounts.

Jenny "Jwoww" Farley, who also has a spin-off show with BFF Snooki, said the show "changed my life -- and Nicole's -- that we found our fiances, our future husbands.  So, I owe my whole future to the Jersey Shore and my roommate."

Jersey Shore airs Thursday night at 9 p.m. Eastern time on MTV.

New Jersey Legislature Considers ‘Snookiville Law’

MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- Filming drunken stars on the streets has become a staple of reality TV. Now a law proposed in New Jersey could give towns more authority when it comes to regulating the messier effects of those scenes.

The Snookiville Law, bill A-3273, was introduced earlier this month and named for Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, star of MTV’s Jersey Shore.

The legislation would permit towns to regulate production and impose fees on crews for additional police surveillance during filming.

“New Jersey has a tradition of being a desirable location for reality TV shows such as Jersey Shore, The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Cake Boss,” New Jersey assemblyman Ronald Dancer (R), who introduced the bill, said. “These shows can attract crowds, which can benefit local businesses and challenge a community’s resources.”

Dancer says the bill, “will permit local officials to make sure taxpayers don’t get ‘Snook’-ered or public safety is compromised.”

“It’s designed to provide towns with an option. It’s not a mandate, but an option,” Dancer said. “For a local municipal to license filming as a special event, we can better manage and plan to prevent poor situations, such as crowds, traffic congestion and drunkenness.”

Towns that choose to adopt the ruling could require crews to pay for additional security, specifically if stars are stumbling down the streets, engaging in disorderly conduct.

“Reality TV can be an asset to a host community, as long as we remember that these shows may cost taxpayers money by requiring additional services when cameras are rolling in town,” Dancer said.

Dancer says he hopes the law will take effect by the end of this year.

The larger-than-life reality star got an engagement ring to match her personality.

“Roger’s not an average-looking guy, he’s huge: his personality, his size,” said JWoww.  “So I always said, ‘I want my ring like you -- big!  The bigger the better!’”

In a statement, MTV said, “We offer our best wishes and a huge congratulations to Jenni and Roger on the news of their engagement.  After seeing the ring, all we can say is ‘JWOWW.’”
