MTV Networks(NEW YORK) -- It's last call for the gang on Jersey Shore.  MTV announced on Thursday that the upcoming sixth season of Jersey Shore, set to debut on Thursday, Oct. 4, will be the final season.

The Situation Opens Up About Drug Problem

JB Lacroix/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino talks extensively about his drug problem in an exclusive interview with In Touch, saying he hit rock-bottom in a hotel room while watching a Brittany Murphy movie.

He admits to taking more than 15 doses of Oxycodone a day around that time.

The 30-year-old says he wondered, “Am I going to be that guy that was so awesome on the Jersey Shore and then…that’s it?”

Sorrentino also believed that he could handle his low point without outside help.

“I really thought I could fix it, that I could turn it around by myself,” he says.

The reality star recalls suffering from withdrawal symptoms so severe that he turned down a $40,000 appearance in Australia because he couldn’t get out of his bed.

“I didn’t even care,” Sorrentino recalls.

He was eventually persuaded to seek medical advice and go to rehab by his family.

He says, “I knew that they were right, that if I didn’t fix the problem there’d be no Situation.”

Snooki and JWoww Talk Pregnancy, "Jersey Shore" and Spin-Off

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- MTV premieres its Jersey Shore spin-off Snooki & JWoww, starring Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Jenni "JWoww" Farley, Thursday night at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

The Jersey Shore starlets stopped by Good Morning America on Wednesday to discuss their new show, which features the guidette BFFs moving in together in an apartment in Jersey City, N.J.

The series took a creative turn when Snooki got the surprise news she was expecting, and Polizzi admitted she hesitated telling her best friend as she knew the impact it could have on their relationship, and their show.

"I waited a little bit because I did want to move in with her, but I didn't want to scare her," Snooki said. "So at the last moment I'm like, 'I'm pregnant.  Okay, let's do this.'"

While Snooki is known for her booze-fueled Jersey Shore high-jinks, JWoww insists her little friend is on the straight and narrow.

"She definitely did a 180," JWoww told GMA.  "I don't want to say grew up the hard way, but kinda' did, just like overnight.  No more drinking, smoking, partying.  It was over with the day she found out she was pregnant...I've never seen someone embrace pregnancy the way that she has."

As for Jersey Shore, shooting on season six is currently underway in Jersey now that the girls' spin-off is in the can.  So what can fans expect?

"So far so good," JWoww said.  "But it's definitely a big wait and see."

Snooki added, "You never know, it's the shore."

"Jersey Shore" to End After Season Six?

MTV Networks(LOS ANGELES) -- It's goodbye to Snooki, JWoww, Pauly D, The Situation, Vinny, Sammi, Ronnie and Deena.  In Touch Weekly reports that after the soon-to-air season six, the cast will not return to MTV's Jersey Shore.

The magazine reveals the cast didn't find out their partying ways in Seaside Heights, N.J., were coming to an end until they began filming at their shore house on May 31.

“An executive producer announced that this season will be the last,” a source tells In Touch Weekly. The source says the exec stressed to the cast that “fans will remember them for this season, not the first, so they should bring their A game.”

The cast reportedly wasn't too upset, especially Pauly D, who is now starring in his own spinoff with his hometown buddies, The Pauly D Project.

Also, Snooki & JWOWW, another franchise spinoff, is set to premiere Thursday, June 21.

The premiere date for season six of Jersey Shore has yet to be announced.

Earlier this week, Snooki indicated to E! News that she would consider living in the Jersey Shore home, but added, "I'm definitely taking this pregnancy seriously and with all the bacteria and everyone having sex in the smoosh room it's just not where a pregnant person or a baby should be."

The Situation Opens Up About Rehab, Vows to Hit the Clubs Again

JB Lacroix/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- When Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino went to rehab earlier this year, rumors abounded as to why.  In a new interview with MTV, a straight-and-narrow Sitch tries to set the record straight.

"My addiction was prescription painkillers," he says.  "At first, I thought it might have given me energy, I thought it helped me...because you're not tired anymore.  Being in this business is not easy...I for sure made a mistake by picking a substance over what I previously chose, which is fitness."

Sorrentino insisted alcohol was never a problem.

"Even though on Jersey Shore...people have seen me with a drink in my hand, but I was never drunk.  I was the guy who was the ladies man.  You can't get girls if you can't speak to them," he laughed.

And while a pregnant Snooki will reportedly be shying away from the nightlife on the upcoming sixth season of Jersey Shore, Sitch says he'll be back at the clubs.

"Oh, hell yeah," Sitch says.
