"Jersey Shore" Star Pauly D Hopes The Situation Gets Well

Ethan Miller/Getty Images(BURBANK, Calif.) -- On Monday's installment of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Jersey Shore star Pauly "DJ Pauly D" Delvecchio talked about his new MTV show The Pauly D Project and the major changes facing two of his Jersey Shore cast mates -- Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, who is pregnant, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, who's currently in rehab for prescription pill addiction.

Regarding Snooki, Pauly admitted he was "shocked" to hear she was with child, something Leno said he found puzzling considering how much sex she apparently has on the show.  And although he hasn't been an onscreen fan for most of Sitch's antics the last two seasons, Pauly told Leno he wishes Sitch the best.

While recent reports said Sorrentino's drinking had become a serious situation for the show's producers, Pauly insisted Mike, "drinks a little bit, he's like a casual drinker."

RadarOnline is reporting that it was addiction to "unbelievable amounts" of prescription drugs -- including Xanax, Dilaudid, and Ambien -- that led to Sitch seeking help.

"Mike was taking about 20-30 pills a day, which easily could have killed him," a source tells the gossip site.  "Mike is very lucky that he didn't overdose and die, because the amount of prescription drugs was that high and deadly."

Ultimately, Pauly said of Sitch, "...I hope he gets well, because I wanna film season six with him because he's my boy."

The Pauly D Project -- about the reality star's exploding DJ career -- airs Thursday nights at 10:30 p.m. Eastern time on MTV.

Will "Snooki" and "The Situation" Lose Screen Time to New Stars?

Tony R. Phipps/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- The entire Jersey Shore cast is locked in for a sixth season of the MTV series, which will begin production this summer. But are Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino on their way out? reports Jersey Shore producer 495 Productions wants to cut down "Snooki" and "Sitch's" screen time in order to showcase new, not-yet-hired cast members. Reportedly, 495 Productions is concerned that the show won't be quite as crazy if the pregnant "Snooki" and the rehabbing "Sitch" have major roles.

PETA Unleashes on Snooki and JWoww for Dyeing Their Dogs

Craig Barritt/Getty Images(JERSEY CITY, N.J.) -- Jersey Shore's JWoww and Snooki have run afoul of PETA, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. No, the reality show starlets' animal prints aren't made of real hides, but the apparent dyeing of their dogs' fur has led the animal rights group to blast the guidettes.

Their dogs Bella and Noel were seen sporting pink and purple fur while on a walk with the pair, who are filming their Jersey Shore spin-off this week in Jersey City.

"Dyeing a companion animal's fur causes the animal stress and can lead to complications or allergic reactions that endanger the animal's health," a PETA spokesperson told E! "Our dogs and cats love us regardless of how we look; we should extend the same kindness to them."

Snooki Talks Pregnancy, Baby Names on MTV

Dave Kotinsky/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- MTV aired a Jersey Shore screening party with the cast Thursday night ahead of the season finale.  Snooki was finally able to talk about her pregnancy and explain why she delayed the news.

"I wanted to make sure everything was healthy," she said.

Snooki also talked about how life has changed since she found out she's going to be a mom, saying, "Of course I love partying, but now I'm in total mom mode, and you know, I just can't wait to have a kid now."

She also pointed out a benefit of having a child at the age of 24 that most people haven't considered: "Having a kid so young means, I can be a MILF," meaning a "Mom I'd Like to F***."

While she admits the pregnancy was a surprise, she says she always knew she wanted to be a mom and have "guido babies."

As for baby names, Snooki says if it's a boy, it might be Jionni Jr., Lorenzo, Tommy or Tony.  She has no ideas for girls' names.

Jenni "JWoww" Farley, meanwhile, sounded off about her upcoming TV project with Snooki, saying, "The spin-off is, is more like [a] 'last hurrah' before I settle down with Roger."

JWoww added, "And [it's] kinda the same with [Snooki], 'cause now there's a time limit on [her]."

Pauly D to DJ Snooki’s Baby Shower?

Ethan Miller/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Snooki wants to turn the delivery of her baby into a party.

According to People, the Jersey Shore star wants fellow cast member Paul "Pauly D" Delvecchio to be there for the occasion with his turntable.

Pauly D tells People, "She told me she wants me to deejay the delivery room," quickly adding, "I told her I'll just deejay the baby shower."

The 31-year-old said he would be able to throw the perfect shower for Snooki, who is pregnant by her fiancé Jionni LaValle.

"I would have spray tan booths in the corner, because she loves to tan, and a lot of loud music," he says.  "I'd have pickles everywhere, too."

As for the baby’s style, Pauly D, who is a resident deejay at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, has already given that some thought, too.

"I think it's ready for hair gel as soon as it comes out.  If there is hair, throw some gel in there," he said.
