(SYDNEY) -- An incognito Leonardo DiCaprio was mistaken for a ne'er do well while he perused a jewelry store in Sydney, Australia Thursday. Sydney's Daily Telegraph reports the Blood Diamond star's bodyguards entered the establishment, called Family Jewels, touching off a misunderstanding with a clerk. One guard was standing by the front door and another further inside when in walked a young man in a dark hoodie and sunglasses.
Spooked, the clerk called for the store's owner, who was next door, thinking the place was about to be robbed.
Much to her relief, she eventually recognized the "thief" as DiCaprio, who was shopping for a gift for his mom.
