John Shearer/WireImage(LONDON) -- Mad Men actor Jon Hamm and his longtime girlfriend, Friends With Kids collaborator Jennifer Westfeldt, were the victims of a theft in London earlier this month.

A source tells Life & Style magazine that a thief snatched Westfeldt's purse while the couple was at a restaurant. Inside the purse was Westfeldt's hotel key, which the thief used to rob their room.

Westfeldt calls the situation "a mess," telling Life & Style, "[I'm not feeling] great. It is under investigation."

Jon Hamm Clarifies Kim Kardashian Comment

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Jon Hamm didn't intend for his comments about Kim Kardashian to be a personal attack on the reality TV star.

Referring to Kardashian and fellow socialite Paris Hilton, Hamm told the British edition of Elle magazine that "stupidity is certainly celebrated" and that "being...[an] idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

Kardashian tweeted this week that she thought Hamm's jab at her was "careless."

Hamm now says his remarks were taken out of context.  He tells Access Hollywood, “I think that she’s -- I’ve never met her.  I would never say anything personal about anyone that I have not met.”

The Mad Men actor also addressed the controversy with E! News, saying, "What I said was meant to be more on pervasiveness of something in our culture, not personal, but she took offense to it and that is her right."

Kim Kardashian to Jon Hamm: Don't Call Me Stupid

Don Arnold/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Kim Kardashian is mad at Mad Men star Jon Hamm.

The reality TV star takes exception to Hamm all but insulting her lifestyle in an interview with the British edition of Elle magazine.

He said, "Whether it's Paris Hilton or Kim Kardashian or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated.  Being...[an] idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."

Kardashian addressed the Hamm interview Monday on Twitter, writing, "I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We’re all working hard and we all have to respect one another. Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless."

There's been no response yet from Paris Hilton.

Jon Hamm Earns Raise Under New 'Mad Men' Deal

AMC/Michael Yarish(NEW YORK) -- Jon Hamm is cashing in on the fact that AMC reached a deal earlier this year to bring back Mad Men for a few more seasons.

Variety sources say Hamm, who plays ad exec Don Draper in the Emmy-winning drama, has reached a three-season agreement that will give him a raise.  He'll make nearly $200,000 per episode during the final year of the agreement.  Variety doesn't mention what Hamm's salary was for the most recent season of Mad Men.

The fifth season of the hit period drama won't air until next year.  Series creator Matthew Weiner has said he will likely end Mad Men after seven seasons.
