Jon Gosselin ‘Sorry’ for What He Did to Kate

Bobby Bank/WireImage/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Jon Gosselin says he’s partly to blame for the way his marriage to Kate Gosselin ended.

The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 couple went through a bitter divorce that was finalized in 2009. Reflecting on that experience in an interview with People magazine, Gosselin said he was “passive-aggressive,” adding, “Then I’d get mad, but I was the one who wasn’t communicating.”

Gosselin said the lines of communication between he and his ex-wife are open again. He called her a “great mom” who simply has a different parenting style than he does.

The 35-year-old dad also regrets that the mother of his kids had to watch him date several women after their divorce. He said, “I am sorry, because I did stuff I wouldn’t want done to me.” He’s now dating a 27-year-old single mom.

Will we ever see Gosselin on TV again? Probably not in the near future. He said, “I’ve been offered a lot of stuff. Crazy stuff. It wasn’t the right fit, then or now. I don’t want [my kids] thinking I take every show just to make a buck.”

Jon Gosselin to Ex-Wife: 'Reality TV Is Not a Career'

Amy Sussman/WireImage for Discovery Communications(NEW YORK) -- Kate Gosselin may be "freaking out" because her TLC series was cancelled, but her ex-husband has little sympathy for her. Speaking with RumorFix.com, Jon Gosselin encourages his former Jon & Kate Plus 8 co-star to find a new line of work. He says, "Reality TV is not a career. Get back to a normal life -- a simple life. Provide for your family." Gosselin, who's now a computer support engineer, believes that "things will work out the way they should work out. Obviously there are families out there that have several kids -- people work normal jobs and things work out."

In the latest edition of People magazine, Kate Gosselin says she's "freaking out" over her uncertain future. Her current series with her eight children, Kate Plus 8, ends Monday on TLC.

Kate Gosselin's TV Show Given the Axe

Amy Sussman/WireImage for Discovery Communications(LOS ANGELES) -- Kate Gosselin's reality star career is on ice, at least for now.

"TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8," a network rep told People in a statement.

"By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone. TLC hopes to check in with Kate and the family periodically with specials in the future."

Kate Gosselin: Kids Were Not Expelled

Photo Courtesy - WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Addressing rumors that two of her children were expelled from school, Kate Gosselin tells Entertainment Tonight that the two kids are simply being tutored at home, "with a teacher who is working closely with our kindergarten teachers in school, doing the identical curriculum," she said.

"The pressure was getting to them," she said. "The goal is to get them back into school as soon as possible."

The now-divorced star of Jon & Kate Plus 8 also addressed rumors that her upcoming reality show on TLC, Twist of Kate, has been canceled, saying, "We're sort of still trying to shape it...So no, not canceled."

This week wasn't all damage control for the Gosselin's. A source close to Jon and Kate revealed to ABC News that the two parents amicably agreed to share custody of their brood this holiday weekend.

Jon Gosselin's Girlfriend Brawls with Taco Bell

Photo Courtesy - Todd Williamson/WireImage(LEMOYNE, Pa.) -- Did the Tex-Mex king poison his eight children? Did an XXL-sized crispy chalupa not crunch as advertised? No, the father of the year turned down-and-out dad is peeved simply because employees at a Lemoyne, Pa., Taco Bell recognized Jon Gosselin and his girlfriend, Ellen Ross, and attempted to photograph them during a grub run through the fast food chain's drive-thru window.

Gosselin is, of course, the dad made famous by TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8. But for Ross, who's been dating Gosselin for months, the fact he once headlined a highly-rated cable television show doesn't make him different from the average Joe. She filed a complaint with Taco Bell demanding an employee of the Lemoyne franchise be fired for trying to take a photograph of the couple on Oct. 18.

"My boyfriend (Jon Gosselin from the reality show Jon & Kate Plus 8) and I came through to purchase dinner," Ross said in the complaint, which was obtained first by the blog thesagewayexpress.blogspot.com and then RadarOnline.com.

A source familiar with the incident confirmed to ABCNews.com the complaint published by RadarOnline was the one Ross filed with Taco Bell. The source added that Ross and others in the neighborhood "have had many non-Gosselin related issues with that Taco Bell" and that Ross "never intended for the complaint to get out."

Jon Gosselin Tells All on Twitter

Photo Courtesy - Getty ImagesThe dad made famous (then infamous) by TLC's Jon & Kate Plus 8 posted a string of messages on his Twitter account Tuesday about his many regrets, from putting his brood of eight on television to battling publicly with his now ex-wife, Kate Gosselin, to pretty much everything that's happened in the past year.

"I am acutely aware of the mistakes I made in 2009 and I am ashamed of the choices I made," Jon tweeted, according to UsMagazine.com.  (His Twitter account is private.)  "I have apologized to Kate, my family, and to my friends.  Through counseling I have learned to own my actions.  My goal is to move forward in a positive direction."

Gosselin explained that he took to Twitter to "clarify a few things" and shed light on how being on TV has damaged his children.

"The negative effects on my family was my greatest concern and far outweigh any monetary gain we received," Gosselin wrote.

"Today, my children are much older than when we first started. They are acutely aware their life is markedly different from their peers," he added.

Tuesday's tirade was Gosselin's second Twitter tell-all in the past week.  Last Friday, he also posted a series of messages to his account after a judge shot down his bid to keep his children off TV.  They currently appear in TLC's Kate Plus 8.

"Each of them has experienced negative effects of having their lives so public," Gosselin wrote last Friday, according to UsMagazine.com.  "Some are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues.  My goal for my children is for them to have a normal childhood, and gain back their much deserved privacy.  This is not about money, this is about my children.  No amount of money is worth the price my children are paying.  You cannot put a price on childhood. Money comes and goes, but you only have one childhood."

"For those questions about money and support, I can say I am supporting my children to the best of my ability," he continued.  "All parties involved know the truth about this.  I am and have been actively seeking employment.  I have been barred from accepting entertainment deals that would generate income for my family due to contractual obligations.  I am also actively looking for a job outside of the entertainment industry and so far, have not secured a position.  In the meantime, I have been focusing on spending time with my children and providing a safe, stable, normal and private environment for them!"

Gosselin concluded his first Twitter tirade with an apology.

"I would like to apologize to my friends, family, and especially my children for not taking a stand earlier in my life and not questioning my decisions to have our lives documented and displayed," he wrote.  "I will have to answer to my children for the rest of my life. I will have to live with this guilt the rest of my life.  I am truly sorry!"
