Whitney Houston's Final Recording Released

Sony Pictures(LOS ANGELES) -- Whitney Houston may have died in February, but she's still putting out new music.

The song, called "Celebrate," is a duet with Jordin Sparks from the upcoming remake of the film Sparkle, and was recorded just days before Houston died. The new tune, released Monday on Ryan Seacrest's website, also includes a quiet message at the end of it.

The film was supposed to be a comeback vehicle of sorts for the troubled singer. Sparkle is set for release in August.

Jordin Sparks Enjoying Broadway and Her Independence

Photo Courtesy - In the Heights, The Musical(NEW YORK) -- Jordin Sparks will be starring in the Broadway musical In the Heights until the middle of next month, and she says so far, it's been a great experience, both onstage and off.

For the first time in her life, the 20-year-old Sparks is living on her own, in her own place in New York City.  She tells ABC News Radio, "This is the first time I've lived in an apartment where I can literally walk in, I have a key, and I go, 'Okay, I'm living here!'"

Sparks, who grew up in Arizona, says of living in Manhattan, "Just to go out and walk around...has been quite the adventure for me. I'm starting to learn the streets, and it's been fun to go out and...I don't have to wait for somebody else to go with me. I can go and I can explore."  She admits that she hasn't taken the subway yet, though.

As far as her time onstage in the musical, Sparks says the hardest part for her has been portraying someone other than herself, and keeping what's happening in her personal life from affecting her performance.

She says, "That's definitely been a challenge, and also, just learning the choreography and the lines.  The music's the easy part. It's everything else that I really have to focus on."

Her fellow cast members from In the Heights have lent her a helping hand, though.  Sparks says, "They've...just welcomed me with open arms," and adds, "Being a part of this cast, I'm part of a bigger picture.  So I don't have to carry the whole show on my shoulders, and I can rely on everybody."

Jordin Sparks to Launch First Fragrance This Week

Photo Courtesy - Sony Music EntertainmentJordin Sparks is the latest female singer to introduce her very own signature fragrance.  Women's Wear Daily reports that the perfume is called "Because of You," which coincidentally also happens to be the title of a song by fellow American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson.

Through the month of October, Because of You will be exclusively available at Dots and, a women's specialty and apparel store with 400 locations in 26 states.  Come November, it'll be distributed at 10,000 other locations, including Target.

Sparks tells Women's Wear Daily that the most important quality she wanted the fragrance to have, other than a good scent, was good value.  She explains, "I really wanted it to be affordable. I looked at some other celebrity fragrances and they were, like, 80 dollars....even now, I can't bring myself to spend that much."  Because of You will be sold at an introductory price of $9.50.  The price will then rise to $14.95 in November.

Sparks' fragrance is described as having "top notes of clementine, white imperial currant and orange blossom," a heart of "nectarine, baby orchid and peony" and a drydown of "musks, vanilla bean, amber and blond woods."  She explains, "I wanted it to transfer easily from day to starts out as a day fragrance and becomes a night fragrance."
