Kardashian Family Facing Two Legal Matters

Jeffrey Mayer/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- A woman who wants to use the Kardashian family name to sell an eyelash-elongation product may be subject to legal action by the reality show family, says TMZ.

Sarah Ehrlich is behind the beauty product called “KardashianLash,” which she hopes to trademark to help raise money to send Honduran orphans to cosmetology school.  Ehrlich presumed that the Kardashians would not care, as the proceeds would be for a worthy cause.  But the family is planning to fight the trademark petition, claiming that no one sought their permission.

Meanwhile, Khloe Kardashian Odom is involved with a legal matter of another kind, according to E!  An assault and battery lawsuit has been filed against her in a Los Angeles court.

In papers filed on Friday, Chantal Spears, also known as Ronald Spears -- she's reportedly a transgender woman -- makes the claim that Mrs. Lamar Odom “assaulted and battered the plaintiff in and about her body” on the Sunset Strip in December 2009.

Spears also alleges that Khloe put her “in great fear for her life and physical well-being.”  Spears is hoping for unspecified damages and general punitive damages with medical expenses.

Charges have not been filed against Khloe in connection with the alleged incident.
