Kelsey Grammer Explains Why He Brought His Baby to Playboy Mansion

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Kelsey Grammer has offered his version of events after receiving some criticism for his and his wife Kayte's decision to bring their 3-month-old daughter to the Playboy Mansion for Hugh Hefner's annual Halloween Party over the weekend.

Grammer explained in a statement to E! News on Tuesday, "Kayte is breast-feeding and we do not have a nanny or a trusted babysitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us."

He added, "We enjoyed the party with a few of our friends, the baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time and we left shortly after midnight."

Grammer wore a Dracula costume, while his wife dressed as a witch.  He noted, "We enjoyed the evening.  We love our child.  Kayte is my wife and lady love.  The world is round.  All our eyes are blue.  Happy Halloween and Cock-a-doodle-doo!"

Why Kelsey Grammer Walked Off the Set of "Piers Morgan Tonight"

Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Kelsey Grammer left Piers Morgan high and dry on the set of his talk show on Wednesday night, just moments before taping. Now it’s becoming clear why the “Frasier” star walked out.

Apparently he saw a picture in the studio of his ex-wife Camille Grammer.

Morgan, who has interviewed Grammer for his CNN show before, took to Twitter, saying, "So, Kelsey Grammer saw a photo of his ex-wife Camille in the open to our show and legged it. Extraordinary. Never had this happen before."

Later he wrote, "...This was a shockingly unprofessional thing to do. I wasn't even going to mention his ex-wife!"

Sources close to Grammer tell The Hollywood Reporter that the Boss star fled the studio because Morgan's staff did not replace his ex-wife's picture with one of his current wife Kayte Walsh, as per his request.

Grammer has yet to comment publicly on Wednesday's incident.

Kelsey Grammer's Starz Series "Boss" Returns

Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- The second season of the Starz series Boss, starring Kelsey Grammer, premieres Friday night at 9 p.m. Eastern time. Sanaa Lathan joins the cast as the new chief of staff to Grammer’s corrupt Mayor Tom Kane.

Lathan makes it clear that she believes Grammer should have picked up an Emmy nomination for his work on the show, on the heels of his Golden Globe victory early this year.

Lathan, herself once nominated for a Tony Award for her performance in A Raisin in the Sun, says, “When someone is giving a performance like what he is giving it's almost mind-boggling.  I mean, he won the Golden Globe for his performance in the first season and I just can't believe he's not even in the category.  It's weird to me.”

The actress says she will portray Mona Fredricks, a smart, savvy Chicago native who has become an advocate for her community.

Jonathan Groff, best known for his role as Jesse St. James on Glee, also joins the cast of Boss for season two.

Kelsey Grammer Sued by Former TV Star over Ponzi Scheme

Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Kelsey Grammer has been named in a lawsuit brought by former Too Close for Comfort star Lydia Cornell and several other plaintiffs who say they were victims of a Ponzi scheme.

According to, Cornell and the plaintiffs claim in the lawsuit, which was initially filed last August but was amended last month to include Grammer, that investors were "taken in" by the scheme, involving the website, because the man who the complaint says ran it used Grammer's name to promote it.

Grammer's lawyer contends that the former Frasier actor lost $1 million in the scheme, and that if it was billed as "Kelsey's network," "it was done without Kelsey's authorization, and against Kelsey's strenuous objections."

There are more than 100 defendants listed in the $100 million lawsuit.

Cornell played Sara, one of the daughters of Ted Knight's character, in the 1980s sitcom Too Close for Comfort.

Kelsey Grammer Gets Wife’s Name Tattooed on His Hip

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(CHICAGO) -- Kelsey Grammer has been married four times, but his current wife is the first one to get her name tattooed on his body.

The Chicago Sun Times reports Grammer and his wife of 14 months, Kayte Wash, showed up unannounced Saturday at Insight Studios, a Chicago tattoo parlor.

Owner Bob Jones says Grammer got the name "Kayte" inked in half-inch blue letters on his hip at the waistline, and he "was pretty cool about it.”   The tattoo cost $60.

The newspaper says one employee was unaware Grammar was a famous celebrity.  A 21-year-old woman at the front desk asked the former Cheers star for his ID.

She then asked Jones, “Is this guy famous of something?  He looked at me kind of funny when I asked for his ID.”

Grammer can currently be seen playing the mayor of Chicago in the Starz series, Boss.

Camille and Kelsey Grammer End Child Custody Dispute

Gregg DeGuire/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Kelsey Grammer and his ex-wife, Camille, have reportedly ended their custody battle.

The website reported that the former spouses have amicably settled the issue of custody over their two children, 7-year-old Jude and 10-year-old Mason. The children will live with their mother but have “meaningful” contact with their father, according to the website.

The pair divorced last year after 13 years of marriage, ending one of the nastiest divorce proceedings in Hollywood. Their union virtually disintegrated on camera during the first season of the hit Bravo show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, which stars Camille Grammer, 43. Kelsey Grammer, 56, has made appearances on the show.

Those appearances were a “gift” to his ex-wife, he said during an interview on Good Morning America in October.

“That was a way of saying, here’s what you always wanted, I’m gone,” the Emmy winner and former Frasier star said of his ex-wife’s post-divorce fame as a reality star.  “With my grace, go have that famous life you wanted.”

The pair put aside their feuding and agreed to expedite their divorce and allow him to marry his new girlfriend, reported.

Grammer tied the knot with 32-year-old Kayte Walsh -- his fourth wife -- two weeks after his divorce to Camille Grammer was finalized.

Kelsey Grammer Dives Into Drama with 'Boss'

Kris Connor/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Obtaining drugs in dark parks. Grabbing a councilman by the ear and dragging him across an office floor. Cursing emphatically, often. This is not what anyone had in mind for Fraiser Crane.

Kelsey Grammer transcends expectations in his latest show, Boss, premiering on Starz tonight. The hour long drama finds him in territory foreign to many of his fans. Grammer plays Tom Kane, the mayor of Chicago, newly diagnosed with a fatal neurological disorder, chronically corrupt, hungry for power and a graduate of the Tony Soprano school of leadership.

"There is no particular person that we've tried to emulate or imitate or indict," Grammer told ABC News. "I think it says a lot more about human nature than politics. There's a kind of arrogance, a kind of demonic quality with someone who's able to stay in power for a long, long time."

Twenty-two years, to be precise, the same amount of time that legendary former Chicago mayor Richard J. Daley spent in office. Grammer insists Boss isn't a portrait of Daley or anyone else. Neither he nor the producers talked with any elected officials or political consultants in developing the show.

"I've had a plan in my head for years that once I'm done with acting, I might try to seek public office," he said. "I'm a hopeless romantic about the political world. I still believe that good people do good things and they can effect change that is positive and well thought out. I'm still a bit of an innocent in that way."

But Grammer has no appetite for the Big Apple.

"I'm not running for the mayor of New York," he said. "Another office, who knows?"

Grammer called Boss his most challenging role to date.

Boss was renewed for a second season weeks before its premiere.

Kelsey Grammer May Seek Gag Order on Ex-Wife Camille

Kris Connor/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Kelsey Grammer and ex-wife Camille Grammer, who went through one of the nastiest Hollywood divorces in recent memory, are headed back to court again over her exposure of their two children to paparazzi, and on her reality show.

The former star of Frasier and Cheers is reportedly going to ask a family judge to issue a gag order that will keep Camille, an ex-Playboy model and star of the hit reality TV series The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, from exposing their children to the cameras.

The two met on a blind date in 1996 and married in 1997, and had two children, Mason and Jude, who were born in 2001 and 2004. The couple’s divorce was finalized in February and they now share custody of their children.

While Kelsey can’t personally tell his ex-wife to stop sharing the details of their past with millions of viewers, Camille’s representative Howard Bragman has said that he believes Kelsey will request the gag order when they head to court.

Despite this, on Saturday Kelsey was captured by gossip website TMZ with Mason and Jude at a steak house in Los Angeles known for its heavy paparazzi presence.

TMZ reported that sources said that Camille was “indignant” over this news.

Representatives for Kelsey did confirm that the actor will be going to court, but would not comment further on what for.

On The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the picture that Camille paints about the couple’s split is not a pretty one and in an interview with TV Guide she launches a new attack on her ex-husband saying, “I said, ‘what about our kids?’ and he said ‘they’ll get over it.’ He was very cruel. He even said, ‘I feel no remorse.’”

“Of course the show is supposed to show these women’s lives -- in season two all of a sudden Camille and Kelsey’s kids are no longer a part of it, and Camille told me that was because Kelsey will no longer grant them permission to be filmed,” Ingela Ratledge, senior editor for TV Guide Magazine said.

In response, representatives for Camille told ABC News, “We will deal with this in court and not the media.”

Kelsey and Camille Grammer Reportedly Strike a Divorce Deal

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- It was shaping up to be a battle of epic proportions. But, for the moment, it seems that Kelsey and Camille Grammer have laid down their swords.

The former Frasier star and the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member have agreed to expedite their divorce and allow Kelsey to tie the knot quickly with his new girlfriend, according to

Lawyers for the couple reportedly told a Los Angeles judge Monday they've reached a deal to let their divorce be finalized now. They will resolve money and property issues at a later date. If the Grammers sign settlement papers this week, Kelsey Grammer could marry Kayte Walsh by the end of the month.

Even if they're on sunnier terms now, the couple's financial drama will likely play out for months to come. They never signed a prenup and, during their 13 years as husband and wife, they built up a fortune of more than $100 million in real estate, his earnings from Frasier and the proceeds from their company, Grammernet Productions, according to If no prenup exists, Camille Grammer is entitled to half of the fortune.

Perhaps Kelsey Grammer will tread more carefully as he steps into his next marriage; his fourth. The 55-year-old actor announced his engagement to Walsh, 29, in December. He recently revealed on David Letterman's Late Show that he hopes they'll marry "sometime in February."
