Is Kris Humphries Refusing to Sign Divorce Papers?

Denise Truscello/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- The drama between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries might not be over yet.

Though she filed for divorce late last month, Life & Style magazine is claiming that Humphries is refusing to sign off on their split.  A source close to the NBA player says Humphries won't put his signature on divorce papers because he "doesn't believe in divorce."

E! News disputes the magazine's story.  Its own Humphries source says, "It is not true that Kris is not going to sign the divorce papers."

Ian Drew, a senior editor for Us Weekly, says both sides had a pre-nuptial agreement in place and seemingly want to end their relationship for good.

Drew claims Kardashian was the victim of verbal abuse during her brief marriage, saying, "She dealt with a lot of name calling, a lot of ridicule, from her new husband."

Kardashian filed for divorce after just 72 days of marriage.

Kris Humphries' Family Reacts to Divorce

Jerritt Clark/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- As Kris Humphries continues to mend his broken heart in his home state of Minnesota, his aunt, Diana Humphries, tells In Touch the soon-to-be ex-hubby of Kim Kardashian is doing just fine.

"We support Kris 120 percent. We love him very, very, very much.  I talk to him all the time and he’s doing fine,” she says.

Meanwhile, some members of the Humphries family apparently didn't think the marriage would last.  In Touch reports another aunt, Marcia Evans, told friends she was surprised the couple had gone through with the wedding in the first place.

Back in June, just two months before the nuptials, Evans said, “It’s a miracle the relationship has gotten this far.  I hope and pray that if God ordained their union that it will go on.”

Meanwhile, Kardashian blogged Tuesday, "I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn't get off when now I know I probably should have."

Kim Kardashian Cancels Appearance in Australia

Don Arnold/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- The fallout from Kim Kardashian's divorce filing appears to have finally caught up with the reality TV star.

She had been in Australia for most of the week to promote a line of handbags, but according to the nation's Herald Sun, she's pulled out of a promotional appearance for health supplement company Swisse in Melbourne scheduled for Saturday.  She reportedly was offered $150,000 for one hour's work.

Kardashian reportedly cancelled because of what she described as her "devastating" and impending divorce from NBA player Kris Humphries.

She said in a statement to the Herald Sun, "I am very disappointed that I am unable to attend the Swisse marquee but I hope to come back and work with the Swisse team at another time."

A Swisse spokesman called the last-minute cancellation a "slap in the face."

Kardashian, her sister Khloe, and Khloe's husband Lamar Odom were spotted Friday at a Sydney airport headed for a flight back to Los Angeles.  The Herald Sun reports Kardashian employed a decoy there to throw off the paparazzi.

Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Gifts Are Going to Charity

Don Arnold/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- It’s true: Kim Kardashian's wedding gifts are going to charity.

The Dream Foundation confirmed to ABC News Wednesday that the reality TV star, who has previously worked with the organization that grants wishes to terminally ill adults, reached out to contribute the gifts from her wedding to Kris Humphries following her decision to file for divorce. (The gifts do not include the money she reportedly made from selling the media rights to her wedding.)

“It comes to no surprise to Dream Foundation that Kim would take a difficult and trying situation and turn it into something tremendously positive and impactful to the families we serve,” the foundation’s president, Thomas W. Rollerson, said in a statement. “We are sorry for the circumstances surrounding this contribution, yet this is Kim’s way of paying forward the gestures of love that were bestowed to her.”

Kardashian’s donation will be a “symbolic donation in the value of the gifts she received.” Asked how much money that “symbolic donation” amounts to, Rollerson said via e-mail, “ALLOT!  :)” and added that the money is “being wired in this morning.”

“It’s a substantial contribution,” he said, “a gesture that will help hundreds of families in their greatest time of need.”

Rollerson went on to praise Kardashian’s commitment to the Dream Foundation: “For years, Kim has been one of our most dedicated and ready supporters, not only in contributions, but also in the lending of her time and generous heart. We have personally witnessed her holding hands and comforting terminally ill adults, offering compassion, kindness and acknowledgment to the end of life journey. It is by those acts that a person should be judged -- and we are blessed to have Kim as a part of our service.”

Kardashian has repeatedly rebuked reports that she engineered her wedding for a payday, writing on her blog Tuesday night that she’s “donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.”

Kim Kardashian’s Mom: No Money Made from Wedding

Jerritt Clark/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Kim Kardashian’s mom claims her daughter made nothing from her $10 million wedding.

“Kim definitely made money from the pictures,” Kris Jenner said on ABC’s The View on Wednesday, referring to wedding photos Kardashian and her estranged husband Kris Humphries sold to People magazine for a reported $2.5 million. “We all got our shooting fees from doing the show [but] when it was all said and done Kim had to pay a lot of money.”

Jenner said that Kardashian put her own money into making “her fairy tale dream come true.”

“Did they net or gross any amount of money? Absolutely not,” she said.

Jenner, who was on The View to promote her new memoir, said that her daughter “felt like she married for love.” Jenner said she doesn’t know why Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries.

“She said ‘Mommy, this is what I feel I need to do. Please trust me,’” Jenner said, adding that Kardashian came to the decision “with a lot of prayer and a lot of meditation.”

“It’s a tough time for the family and for Kim and for everybody involved,” Jenner said, choking up. “It’s really hard to go through this on a public stage.”

Halfway across the world, Kardashian reiterated the same points.

“I do, you know, want to make clear that I would never marry for a TV show, for money, for anything like that,” she said Wednesday on the Australian radio show Kyle and Jackie O.  "And I think that’s really ridiculous that I have to even, you know, kind of defend that. But I guess that’s what comes along when you film your wedding for a reality show.”

Kardashian has repeatedly rebuked reports that she engineered her wedding for a payday, writing on her blog Tuesday night that she’s “donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation.” ABC News’ requests for comment from the Dream Foundation, which grants wishes to adults facing life-threatening illnesses, were not immediately returned.

Besides the reported $2.5 million she got from People, Kardashian is said to have made between $12 and $15 million for the E! TV special about her nuptials. She also reportedly banked hundreds of thousands of dollars for selling exclusive rights to her engagement announcement, bridal shower and bachelorette party.

On Monday, the day Kardashian filed for divorce from Humphries, her husband of 72 days, The New York Times calculated that the couple made $10,358.80 per hour of marriage, or $5,179.40 each if split evenly.

Kim Kardashian Addresses Breakup on Her Blog

Denise Truscello/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Though her marriage didn't last very long, Kim Kardashian insists she tied the knot with Kris Humphries because she loved him, and not because she sought publicity.

In a post on her blog, she referenced reports claiming that the marriage was "arranged" as part of a story line for her various E! TV series.

She wrote, "I married for love. I can’t believe I even have to defend this. I would not have spent so much time on something just for a TV show! I share so much of my life on a reality show, that contemplating whether to even film my wedding was a tough decision to make, and maybe it turned out to not be the smartest decision. But it’s who I am!"

Kardashian also denies that she profited from her wedding and earned millions of dollars.

She wrote, "I’m so grateful to everyone who took the time to come to my wedding and I’ll be donating the money for all the gifts to the Dream Foundation."

Kardashian concedes that she may have rushed into marriage, saying, "I felt like I was on a fast roller coaster and couldn’t get off when now I know I probably should have. I got caught up with the hoopla and the filming of the TV show that when I probably should have ended my relationship, I didn’t know how to and didn’t want to disappoint a lot of people."

The reality TV star ends the blog posting by stating, "I’m sorry if I have hurt anyone, but my dad always told me to follow my heart I believe now that I really am."  Her father is the late O.J. Simpson attorney Robert Kardashian.

Kardashian flew to Australia earlier this week on business.  According to E!, Humphries is currently in Minnesota with family.  He was scheduled to host an event Saturday at Chateau at the Paris Las Vegas hotel, but, according to E! News, he's cancelled the engagement.  The hotel says it has yet to officially receive word from Humphries that he won't be able to make it.

We will likely hear more about the breakup when Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner, appears on ABC's The View Wednesday morning.  She's also scheduled to drop by NBC's Today show earlier in the day.  Incidentally, Kardashian and her sisters, Khloe and Kourtney, will visit the ladies of The View on Nov. 16.

Kardashian announced Monday that she's filed for divorce from Humphries after 72 days of marriage.  According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jenner wanted the announcement to be made early in the week in order to ensure that celebrity magazines would cover it in their latest issues.
