Lady Antebellum Taking Time off to Make Third Album

"I always laugh and say that I think we worked good in chaos, and that was why it worked," Lady Antebellum's Charles Kelley tells Entertainment Weekly. "We'll see if having too much time, what that does to us. Hopefully, it's gonna make the process more enjoyable and not so stressful."

Lady Antebellum has already written more than 50 songs for the new album.

Lady Gaga Voted Top Artist of 2010 by 'Billboard'

Photo Courtesy - Streamline/KonLive/Interscope(NEW YORK) -- Lady Gaga has been named Billboard magazine's Top Artist of the Year for 2010, just a year after she was named the magazine's top new artist.  The last female artist to move from Billboard's New Artist to Artist of the Year that quickly was Whitney Houston, who was New Artist in 1985, and Artist of the Year in 1986.

The Artist of the Year designation is based on an artist's chart performance for both albums and singles during the magazine's chart year, which ran from Dec. 5, 2009 to Nov. 27, 2010.  Gaga's albums The Fame and The Fame Monster are in the magazine's top 20 for albums of the year, and she has four singles on the list of the year's top songs.

The number two artist of the year is Taylor Swift, who was 2009's top artist.  She's got two albums in the top 10 of the magazine's year-end tally.  The last time an artist placed two albums in the year-end top 10 was when Garth Brooks did it in 1992.

Lady Antebellum is the magazine's Group of the Year, and their hit "Need You Now" is the number two song of the year overall.  "Tik Tok" by Ke$ha is the number one song of the year and Susan Boyle's I Dreamed a Dream, which came out last year, is Billboard's top album of 2010.
