Lady Gaga's Idea of Post-Rehab Entertainment Is All Wet

Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- Lady Gaga recently underwent surgery to fix a tear in her hip that was so severe it forced her to cancel her entire Born This Way Ball tour.  And now, a British tabloid is claiming that while she's convalescing at home, the singer's come up with a unique way to distract herself. No, she's not going to Netflix all three seasons of Downton Abbey -- instead, she's watching fish.

The Sun reports that Gaga has dropped over $60,000 to purchase a huge fish tank setup, as well as 27 koi fish, shipped in from Japan, to swim around in it.  A source tells the paper, "Gaga said she’d had a dream about the fish so she had her team source some koi and set up a massive tank."

The whole story sounds pretty fishy to us.

Lady Gaga Cancels Rest of Tour Dates, Diagnosed with Tear in Right Hip

ABC/ LOU ROCCO(NEW YORK) -- Bad news for Lady Gaga fans: she's been forced to cancel the rest of the dates of her Born This Way Ball tour due to injury.

This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour so she can heal."

Ticket holders can get a refund at the point of purchase beginning Thursday.

Gaga had 21 scheduled dates remaining on the North American leg of her Born This Way Ball tour, through March 20.

Does Lady Gaga Want to Buy Neverland Ranch?

Ian Gavan/Getty Images for Coty Beauty UK(NEW YORK) -- Neverland Ranch was once owned by an eccentric pop star, Michael Jackson. Could it soon be owned by another eccentric pop star?

Britain’s The Sun is claiming that Lady Gaga wants to purchase a share of the California ranch. A source says, “Lady Gaga is obsessed with Michael.  She’s become good friends with his sister La Toya and would love more than anything else to restore Neverland to its original state.”

The source adds that Gaga would “love to help with the financial costs” of the ranch should it remain with the Jackson family long-term.

Neverland is currently owned by Jackson’s estate as well as Colony Capital, which saved the property from foreclosure in 2008, the year before the King of Pop died.

Michael left Neverland in 2005.

Lady Gaga Sends Tickets to Baltimore School Shooting Victim

Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic(BALTIMORE) -- Lady Gaga has helped make Christmas extra-special for Daniel Borowy, a 17-year-old special education student critically injured in August in a shooting at Perry Hall High School in Baltimore.

A huge fan of the singer, Borowy came to Gaga’s attention thanks to the Lady Gaga Please Visit Daniel Facebook and Twitter campaigns started by his classmates and others.

Initially, Borowy’s friends hoped Gaga would pay a hospital visit but her schedule wouldn’t allow it.  However, this week, Borowy’s father Milton Borowy posted a message on Facebook that Gaga had sent his son a huge care package of “T shirts, CDs, a personally-autographed message to Danny, a picture and 2 tickets to her upcoming concert. (I believe they are front row).”

Admitting that it was difficult to announce his son’s good news in the wake of the Newtown, Conn., school shootings, Milton added that he was “waiting for an appropriate time to share this information and [felt] that maybe we need some good news.” More good news: Borowy returned to school in November and is doing fine.

Milton Borowy said he’s thankful for everyone’s help in getting the word out to Gaga’s camp.

“It is pretty cool that someone in [Lady Gaga's] position took the time to make a complete stranger happy,” he said.

Lady Gaga Voted the "World's Best-Loved Eccentric"

Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- When you think of oddball celebrities -- and there are many of them -- Lady Gaga quite probably comes to mind.  So it's no surprise that she tops a new British poll of the "World's Best-Loved Eccentrics."

According to, the survey -- conducted by the Nature Valley company to promote its new "Sweet & Nutty Bar" -- asked 2,000 people to name their favorite strange celebrity.  Gaga came in at #1, with others on the list including Ozzy Osbourne, Prince Phillip, Katy Perry's ex-husband Russell Brand, Johnny Depp, director Tim Burton, singer Bjork and actress Helena Bonham Carter.

A Nature Valley spokesperson said of the survey results, "British people tend to have a soft spot for anyone out of the norm -- anyone who doesn't conform to the ordinary. This is why celebrities such as Prince Philip, Lady Gaga and Russell Brand are close to our hearts. More often than not, eccentric attributes are harmless as they are often have the most brilliant personalities."

Lady Gaga’s Latest Twitter War

Alo Ceballos/FilmMagic(NEW YORK) -- A South African rap-rave duo currently touring in the United States is gaining attention by engaging in a video war with Lady Gaga whom they find too conventional.

The band Die Antwoord recently released an outlandish Gaga-style video bashing the international pop star after she reportedly invited them to be her opening act on her upcoming tour in South Africa.

The video for the new single “Fatty Boom Boom” features a Gaga lookalike doing some sight-seeing in South Africa before being hijacked by gunmen, giving birth to a cricket, and eventually being eaten by a lion.  Before the video’s release, band members Ninja and Yo-Landi Vi$$er told MTV they turned down Gaga’s request to tour with her.

“Our stuff is like f—— hardcore,”  said Ninja.  “It’s not like weak, superficial sh–. You know?”

Lady Gaga struck back on Twitter and Facebook pointing out Die Antwoord does not have a hit song while she has sold out concerts in South Africa.

“I fink you freaky but you don’t have a hit. Hundred thousand tickets sold in SA. #thatsmysh–t,” wrote Gaga.

The rap duo replied on Twitter, “Lady… even tho u r ‘larger’ than us… we still cooler than u.”

Now that the video has been released in the United States, the Cape Town artists are defending themselves against accusations the video was racist and insensitive to people with eating disorders.  Yo-Landi Vi$$er appears in the video painted black.  She told South Africa’s Die Burger newspaper, “We don’t even know what blackface is.”

Vi$$er also said Gaga fans allege “Fatty Boom Boom” is a reference to Gaga’s recent weight gain after admitting she has an eating disorder.  Vi$$er denied the accusation and claims the song was written before Gaga gained weight.

Die Antwoord’s current U.S. tour includes stops in New Orleans, Toronto, New York and Los Angeles.

Lady Gaga is scheduled to perform two stadium concerts in South Africa in November.

Lady Gaga Dresses as a Witch to Meet Wikileaks Founder

Alex Moss/FilmMagic(LONDON) -- File this under people you didn’t expect to break bread together: Lady Gaga visited WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London Monday and ate dinner with him there, according to the Telegraph.

Gaga promoted her new perfume Fame with a tea party at the nearby Harrods department store before going to the embassy. She wore a black dress and a pointed witch’s hat. According to the Telegraph, they spent five hours talking and Gaga left after midnight.

Assange, who is wanted in Sweden over alleged sex assaults on two women, has been at the Ecuadorian embassy since June and has claimed asylum.

Why did they meet? What did they talk about? It’s unclear. Representatives for the embassy and Gaga did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for comment. But maybe this Sunday evening tweet from singer M.I.A. to Gaga has something to with it: “If ur at harrods today, come visit Assange at the Ecuador embassy across the st. im there. Ill bring TEA and CAKE.”
