Report: Lindsay Lohan Refusing Rehab

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan does not think that she has a drinking problem, and says she doesn't need to attend rehab, citing the fact she’s made three movies recently as evidence to the contrary, according to TMZ.com.

This follows a previous TMZ report claiming she is so stressed about a potential probation violation that she is drinking up to two liters of vodka every day.  TMZ claims that close friends of the troubled star have been urging her to seek professional help.

Lohan’s latest problems stem from a recent altercation with Tiffany Mitchell at a New York nightclub, resulting in the actress allegedly punching Mitchell in the face.  The Liz & Dick star was arrested and booked for third-degree misdemeanor assault and later released.

It’s emerged that Mitchell has retained the services of lawyer Gloria Allred and that, in turn, Lohan has hired a private investigator to dig into Mitchell’s background, according to TMZ.  This is in case Mitchell tries to pursue the case in civil court, according to TMZ sources.

Lohan’s associates say the actress believes that Mitchell is the latest in a long line of people lining up to take advantage of and “make a buck off” her.

TMZ also reports that Lohan is telling friends that she did not hit Mitchell and only confronted her because she believed that she and her friends had taken her purse.

Meanwhile, TMZ reported early Monday that Lohan is in huge trouble with Uncle Sam, and that her bank accounts have been seized by the IRS because she owes the government more than $230,000 in taxes.

Lindsay Lohan's Alleged Victim Is 'Aggravated,' 'Swollen,' Doesn't Want To Leave the House

Amy Graves/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Tiffany Ava Mitchell, the Palm Beach palm reader who Lindsay Lohan allegedly punched during a brawl at the New York City nightclub Avenue early Thursday morning, is "aggravated," "swollen" and doesn't want to leave the house after her run-in with the 26-year-old actress.

"We don't even want to leave the house at this moment," Mitchell's husband, Wayne Stevens, told ABC News through the intercom of his New York apartment on Thursday.

"She's all swollen," he said of his wife, who runs a chain of psychic reading salons in Florida. "Her cheek is swollen ... She's pretty aggravated"

Stevens said he couldn't make sense of the fight that led to Lohan's alleged swipe at his 28-year-old wife. "It kind of just escalated because someone else had a brawl," he said. During the fight, he said Lohan, "went and pushed my wife pretty hard."

"I don't even know why she pushed her," he said. "And we didn't realize who it even was. Five minutes later, she comes around and tells my wife, 'If I need space,' and then she just punched her."

Stevens said Mitchell does not plan to see a doctor. They were at New York's 10th precinct Thursday morning, where she did not require medical attention.

Lohan was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault Thursday morning. Later in the day, she was charged with three additional misdemeanors for lying to Santa Monica, Calif., police about a June car crash on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The charges revolve around whether Lohan was driving the Porsche that got mangled during the accident, or if she was in the passenger seat at the time of the crash. Lohan initially said she was a passenger; police found evidence she was the driver.

More importantly, the Santa Monica charges may be enough for a judge to revoke Lohan's probation in connection with a conviction for stealing a $2,500 necklace in 2011.

Lohan's publicist declined to comment, saying Lohan's attorney, Shawn Holley, is fielding requests for comment. Holley did not respond to ABC News.

Before going to Avenue Wednesday night, Lohan was spotted at Justin Bieber's concert at Madison Square Garden. A New York Times reporter who was at the show tweeted, "Lindsay Lohan just came to the row in front of me at the Bieber show, got swarmed, then turned and left."

Lohan, a regular at Avenue, was banned from the club earlier this year following an incident in which she tweeted that Justin Timberlake was seeing another woman at the club when he was dating Jessica Biel.

While Lohan's official camp has stayed silent about her arrest, her assistant, Gavin Doyle, called her out on Twitter Thursday. A video of Lohan leaving the precinct that's posted on YouTube shows Doyle getting out of the car moments after Lohan gets in. Lohan screams, "Gavin, get out of the car! Get him out of the car! Get him out of the car, now!" As Doyle leaves, he says, "OK. Never speak to me again."

Thursday afternoon, he tweeted, "@lindsaylohan after bailing you out last night I HOPE and PRAY you get the help you so desperately need. We are ALL rooting for you. xxx"

In another tweet, he wrote, "Life is NOT a movie it's a reality that needs to be faced."

Doyle was also with Lohan when she crashed her car on the Pacific Coast Highway in June.

It's been a tough week for Lohan. Her latest attempt at a comeback, the Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, premiered Sunday to a not overwhelming audience of 3.5 million viewers. Critics almost universally panned the Elizabeth Taylor biopic.

She's also had a spate of legal troubles this fall. In September, she was arrested outside New York's Dream Downtown hotel when a pedestrian claimed she hit him with her car and did not stop. The Manhattan District Attorney's Office declined to prosecute that case.

That same month, Lohan was involved in a hotel-room quarrel that began over a set of cellphone photos of her allegedly taken by a part time Congressional aide, Christian LaBella. Lohan claimed LaBella had assaulted her, which led to his arrest, but the misdemeanor charges against him were later dropped.

In October, police were called to her Lohan's home on Long Island after a report of a fight between her and her mother. An investigation revealed "no criminality."

So far, Lohan has been imprisoned six times, but has spent less than two weeks behind bars. Last year, she spent 35 days under house arrest after pleading no contest to stealing a $2,500 necklace. She remains on informal probation for that theft, which means she doesn't have to check in with a judge or probation officer but could face a jail term if arrested.

In March, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner took Lohan off probation from her 2007 DUI case. In court, Sautner praised Lohan for doing, "everything that this court has asked of her," including completing 60 days of community service and multiple psychological counseling sessions. She also offered some advice: "Stop the nightclubbing and focus on your work."

Lindsay Lohan Arrested for Alleged Club Assault

ABC News(NEW YORK) -- Lindsay Lohan was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly assaulting a woman during a dispute at a nightclub in the Chelsea section of New York City, according to ABC News affiliate WABC-TV.

The actress was charged with third degree assault following the 4:00 a.m. incident at Club Avenue and taken to a local police station, where she was processed.

Report: Lindsay Lohan 'Devastated' by "Liz & Dick" Reviews

Richard McLaren/Lifetime(LOS ANGELES) -- By now it's well known that most reviewers sharpened their knives for Lindsay Lohan's turn as Elizabeth Taylor in the much-talked-about Lifetime movie Liz & Dick.

What was meant to be a career comeback for Lohan was dismissed by The Hollywood Reporter, for example, as ''a lost Saturday Night Live skit," and Lohan's performance was labeled "woeful."

Now, it seems those critical barbs have hit home for the troubled star.

"Lindsay is devastated," an unnamed friend reportedly told the Huffington Post.  "She has got used to all the negative press around her personal life but this is the first time she has experienced it about her work.  No matter how bad things were going for her personally, everyone would always agree that she was a great actress."

Her estranged dad Michael Lohan threw his support behind his daughter, however, telling the Post, “Due to the content, I had to step away from a lot of the scenes, but regardless of what some of these so-called critics, who don't have an ounce of talent in their bones say, Lindsay proved that she is an amazing actress.  This was a different role for her at a difficult time of her life.”

The film drew a solid, albeit unspectacular, audience for its premiere on Sunday night, averaging 3.5 million viewers.  Lifetime notes it was the fourth-most-watched original movie premiere on ad-supported cable in 2012, trailing three other projects the network aired earlier in the year.

Liz & Dick's ratings didn't come close to that of Lifetime's Steel Magnolias remake, which debuted last month to 6.5 million viewers.

Charlie Sheen Gives Lindsay Lohan $100,000

Stefania D'Alessandro/Getty Images for amfAR(LOS ANGELES) -- Charlie Sheen gave Lindsay Lohan an early Christmas present in the form of a $100,000 check to cover the actress' huge tax bill, according to TMZ.com.

Sources tell the site that Sheen and Lohan became friendly during the shooting of Scary Movie 5 in September, and Lohan had spoken to him about her ongoing tax problems.  Sheen reportedly offered to cut her a check on the spot to help her out, but she refused.

However, last week sources close to Lohan told TMZ that the actress received a check from Sheen, and she was amazed by his generosity.

Lohan allegedly owed the IRS $233,904 in unpaid taxes for 2009 and 2010, but thanks to Sheen, that figure is now just about half of what it was.

Lindsay Lohan Talks Barbara Walters, Half-Sister on "The Tonight Show"

D'Alessandro/Getty Images for amfAR(BURBANK, Calif.) -- On Wednesday night's installment of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Lindsay Lohan spoke about canceling an interview with Barbara Walters, mentioned what it's like to be constantly in the tabloids, plugged her Lifetime movie Liz & Dick, and wished her newly-confirmed half-sister luck dealing with their dad.

According to published reports, Lohan's new publicists were apparently to blame for pulling the plug on Walters, indicating that they didn't like the direction the interview was taking.

Lohan didn't mention that -- or how news of a possible probation revocation could have tied into it -- but explained to Jay Leno Tuesday only that "the timing wasn't right right now."  Lohan did say she loved Walters and added, "when it's right, she'll be the first person I sit down with."

Regarding what Leno called the "bombshell revelation" that her father Michael was revealed to be the father of a teenage half-sister, Lohan said, "I guess I could give her one word of advice: good luck with my dad."

"It is what it is," she said of the situation.

Lohan, who plays Elizabeth Taylor in Sunday's Lifetime biopic Liz & Dick, says she fought for the role, and revealed that Taylor sent her a ring once and invited her to dinner," though she admitted she was, "genuinely just too nervous" to accept.

Lohan also appeared in a cold open to the show, in a bit about a nervous Tonight Show staffer lamenting to Leno about a "diva" who had a list of demands behind the scenes.  The diva turned out to be NBC newsman David Gregory.

Report: Lindsay Lohan to Have Probation Revoked

Mark Boster-Pool/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- If Lindsay Lohan is charged with lying to police about an accident she was involved in, as TMZ.com has reported, she may find herself in serious trouble with a judge.

Earlier this month, TMZ stated that the Liz & Dick actress is expected to be charged for, allegedly, falsely claiming that she was a passenger in a Porsche that struck a dump truck near Los Angeles in June, and not the driver.

On Monday, the website further reported that once charges are filed against Lohan and she is arraigned, a judge will revoke her informal probation in a 2011 shoplifting case.

TMZ says the charges will be filed "soon."

Michael Lohan Finds Out on Show He's the Father of Teen Girl

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- If she doesn't know it already, Lindsay Lohan will find out later on Thursday that she has a half-sister she never knew about.

TMZ.com reports that during a taping of the syndicated program The Trisha Goddard Show, Michael Lohan learns that he is the father of a 17-year-old girl when the results of a DNA test are revealed.  The girl, named Ashley, and her mother, Kristi Horn, also appear on the show.

As seen in a clip posted on TMZ's website, Ashley is clearly shaken by the news, and when Michael tries to give her a hug, she initially objects.

Michael has four children with ex-wife Dina Lohan, including Lindsay.  Michael and Dina were married from 1985 to 2007.

The episode of The Trisha Goddard Show with Michael Lohan airs on Thursday.
