(NEW YORK) -- CBS hasn't made an official announcement, but a source tells RadarOnline that Paula Abdul’s new reality competition series, Live to Dance, will not be renewed for a second season and the singer is “devastated” by the cancellation.
The report says Abdul spent the weekend in shock after being told by phone last Friday of CBS’ decision.
The source claims, “Paula kept hoping week after week that her show would pick up new viewers, but each week the ratings trailed off.” The source says fewer than four million viewers tuned into last week’s season finale of Live to Dance, “way too few for CBS to keep Paula’s dream dance show alive.”
There are persistent rumors that Abdul is being considered for a judges' spot on former American Idol judge Simon Cowell's upcoming talent show The X Factor. So far, however, the reports are nothing more than rumors.
