Betty White Immortalized in Wax

ABC/Ida Mae Astute(LOS ANGELES) -- Former Golden Girls star Betty White has become the latest celebrity to be honored with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds museum.

"I'm 90 years old," the Hot In Cleveland actress said at her induction ceremony in Los Angeles on Monday. "You don't expect this kind of an honor at 90."

Indeed, White has become the oldest celebrity to be immortalized by the famed museum, though she admitted it could have happened decades earlier.

"It was supposed to happen back with The Golden Girls, but Bea Arthur wouldn't do it," said White, who joked about the painstaking $300,000 doppelganger.  "Would it have killed [Tussauds] to do this 50 years ago before gravity took over?  Seriously, it will be an honor to stand among the greats like George Burns and Lucille Ball."

Patrick Swayze’s Wife Recreates ‘Dirty Dancing’ Scene

Lisa Niemi Swayze attends the unveiling of Patrick Swayze's wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Photo by David Livingston/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- It’s a picture as endearing as the love story it was recreating. Patrick Swayze’s wife, Lisa Niemi, posed for the classic Dirty Dancing log scene at the unveiling of his new wax figure at West Hollywood’s Madame Tussauds.

Stretching out her arms, she stepped onto the log and balanced in front of the life-size model of her late husband, who died two years ago of pancreatic cancer at age 57.

Niemi was supportive of Madame Tussauds' decision to immortalize Swayze as his iconic character, Johnny Castle.

"The fact that [it is] this log scene is so perfect for Patrick because he was so fearless, and confident, and always pushing the edge,” she said. “This pose says a lot about Patrick, but also about Dirty Dancing.

The photo of Niemi has sentimental meaning as well. Swayze met Niemi when she was only 15, while she was taking dance classes from his mother. Swayze’s figure will join the ranks of such Hollywood icons as Marilyn Monroe, Audrey Hepburn and Humphrey Bogart, as well as current stars including Lady Gaga, Jennifer Aniston and Will Smith.

Justin Bieber Wax Figures Unveiled Around the World

Island Def Jam(LONDON) -- Justin Bieber got waxed on Tuesday, as figures of the singer were unveiled at three Madame Tussauds locations around the world: New York, Amsterdam, and London.

Bieber was actually on hand in London to see his wax likeness unveiled, and later tweeted a series of photos of him posing with it, along with humorous captions like, "I knew my mom had more kids!"

The statues look very much like Bieber, except they feature his old haircut.

The clothes the figures were wearing were all donated by the singer himself.  According to Billboard, the New York statue wears a black vest and black Balenciaga pants, while the London statue is wearing red flannel.

The statues took nearly four months to complete.

Justin Bieber to Get Wax Figure at Madame Tussauds

Photo Courtesy - Island Def Jam(NEW YORK) -- Justin Bieber is set to get his very own wax statue at Madame Tussauds.

The wax figure will debut this March at not one, but three Madame Tussauds locations: New York, London and Amsterdam.  It took four months to complete the figure, which will sport Bieber's signature style and his hairdo -- which is, of course, no more, thanks to a recent haircut.

In a statement, Bieber said, "To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols -- Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyonce and my mentor Usher -- is incredibly exciting and very cool."
