(TORONTO) -- In the past few weeks, Maria Aragon has gone from fifth-grader to worldwide sensation, thanks to her YouTube cover of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" -- and her young career peaked Thursday night when she joined her hero onstage in Toronto for a duet.
According to Canada's QMI agency, 10-year-old Maria came onstage halfway through Gaga's show at the Air Canada Centre to perform a scaled down duet version of "Born This Way." Gaga put her on her lap in front of the piano and told the crowd, "Maria's here tonight because Maria represents what the song is all about."
After the duet, a tearful Gaga told the crowd, "Just knowing I touched one person is enough. Look at me. She made me all [emotional]. She's such a superstar."
Maria returned later in the show for a more plugged-in version of "Born This Way," and took a bow with Gaga at the end of the show.
