Russell Brand on Marriage: 'I Tried It and I Loved It'

Photo by Tommaso Boddi/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Russell Brand says he still hopes to be married one day -– just not today.

In an interview with Esquire magazine, the actor says, "I'd like to be married. I'm just not transmitting that frequency of 'Soulmate! Soulmate!' I’m transmitting the frequency of 'Mmm!'"

Referring to his nearly two-year marriage to Katy Perry, Brand says, "I tried it and I loved it."

Brand says their divorce had nothing to do with her character. "I really think she's a lovely, beautiful person...It's just hard isn't it? She's got a lot of options, I’ve got a lot of options, so you've got to really, really want it."

As for what triggered their split, Brand admitted it was partly due to adjusting to a different pace of life then they were used to and prioritizing their respective lives and careers.  "Some of it's the fame, but I think getting married is…you've got a whole other person that you’ve got to make as important as you."

Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon Renew Vows at Disneyland

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary -- and their twins’ second birthday -- by renewing their vows at Disneyland.

“On our way to renew our vows. I love you shut down Disneyland...,” Carey tweeted en route to the California theme park Tuesday evening.

Carey posted video on Twitter of her grand entrance with daughter Monroe in the park’s horse-drawn Crystal Carriage. After arriving on Main Street, they were met by Cannon and son Moroccan. Together, the family of four walked to the Sleeping Beauty Castle, where Carey and Cannon renewed their vows before 250 guests, according to Entertainment Tonight.

Entertainment Tonight reported that the ceremony’s theme was “Do you believe in fairy tales?”

The ceremony concluded with fireworks and was followed by a reception in Fantasyland, where Cannon played deejay. Guests also had access to some of the theme park’s rides.

Earlier in the day, Carey and Cannon celebrated their twins’ birthdays with Mickey and Minnie Mouse before mom and daughter changed into ruffled white dresses and dad and son donned matching princely attire.

The Walt Disney Co. owns Disneyland and ABC News.

Janet Jackson, Wissam Al Mana Reveal Secret Marriage

Vincenzo Lombardo/Getty Images for Sergio Rossi(NEW YORK) -- Janet Jackson and billionaire businessman Wissam Al Mana are officially married.  In fact, they’ve been husband and wife since last year, the singer confirmed in a statement posted on her website.

The singer said the couple tied the knot in a “quiet, private, and beautiful ceremony,” not the over-the-top affair that gossip sites reported would take place.  Jackson added that ”rumors regarding an extravagant wedding are simply not true.”  There was speculation that  Al Mana was planning to splash out millions on a lavish ceremony, even flying Jackson’s large family to Qatar aboard private jets.

Instead, Jackson explained that they’re using their money to do good for others.

“Our wedding gifts to one another were contributions to our respective favorite children’s charities,” she said.

Jackson and Al Mana ask that their “privacy is respected and that we are allowed this time for celebration and joy.”  Closing their note, they wrote, “With love, Wissam and Janet.”

This is marriage number three for Jackson, whose union with fellow singer James DeBarge was annulled in 1985.  In 1991, she married dancer, songwriter and director Rene Elizondo Jr., but they kept their relationship a secret until their divorce in 2000.

Heidi Klum Says She’ll Never Marry Again

Jason Merritt/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Though Heidi Klum appears to be smitten with her bodyguard-turned-boyfriend Martin Kirsten, the Project Runway host doesn’t plan to walk down the aisle anytime soon — or ever.

In the February issue of Marie Claire, Klum revealed that she doesn’t want to marry again, even though she and her ex-husband Seal publicly renewed their wedding vows every year.

“I don’t think so. No. No,” Klum said. “I wanted to keep the memory of our wedding alive every year, that’s why I thought it would be fun to get married over and over. But now I don’t think it’s that important. I’m not angry about anything, but I don’t think I will. Maybe if I’m with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do … But I don’t have the urgency anymore.”

Klum, 39, filed for divorce from singer Seal last April. They have four children together, one from Klum’s previous relationship with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore.

“People say, ‘Oh, God, how devastating to go through a divorce.' Did I wish for this to happen to my family? No. But everyone is healthy; we’re moving on with our lives,” Klum said. “If someone got [very sick], God forbid, that would be a real problem. It’s not what I wanted – it’s not what anyone wanted – but it’s not a real problem.”

The supermodel also opened up about her bedroom philosophy and getting “crazy” between the sheets.

“Some people are more experimental in bed and others are more boring,” Klum said. “If you are wild and crazy, bring it on so the other person is well aware that you have little devil horns that come out every once in a while. It’s good to make an effort to dress up sometimes, to do things outside of the norm.”

And whether things work out with Kirsten or not, Klum has no interest in being a “cougar.”

“I can understand why a woman finds a young man attractive, because the truth is that when men get older, their shape changes,” she said. “Younger men train more, and when the clothes come off, it is nice to look at a sexy, ripped body. But I am realistic. I’m turning 40 next year; I don’t think I could deal with waking up next to a 25-year-old.”

John Parra/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Rosie O’Donnell is a married woman once again.

The comedienne revealed on her blog Monday that she and Michelle Rounds married on June 9. They were originally supposed to tie the knot this month, but after Rounds was diagnosed with desmoid tumors earlier this summer, a rare condition that can be life-threatening, they decided to wed before her surgery.

“We married in private before [Michelle's] surgery, just the [two] of us,” O’Donnell wrote. “When we r both well enough will have the wedding of r dreams surrounded by those we cherish.”

Miley Cyrus Denies She's Too Young to Wed

JB Lacroix/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Miley Cyrus is just 19, but she's engaged to Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth, her 22-year-old Australian fiance.  And the star says that anyone who criticizes the couple for rushing into marriage at too young an age doesn't know what they're talking about.

In a behind-the-scenes video Cyrus shot for Marie Claire magazine while posing for the publication's September cover, the singer and actress says, "We’ve been together a long time, and I just know this is what I want for my life."

She adds, "A lot of people, I think, say, 'I can’t believe they’re getting married, they’re so young,' but life is too short to not spend every minute with the person with makes you happiest."

Cyrus tells the magazine that when Hemsworth proposed, it was "a complete surprise" and says that no one, not even her parents, knew that it was coming.  Cyrus also says she had "no input" on her 3.5-carat yellow-gold engagement ring, but she loves it.

"I usually wear rose gold," she says, "and I'm happy because it doesn't look like anything else I wear."

Trouble in Paradise for 17-Year-Old Courtney Stodden and Husband

JB Lacroix/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- This most likely won’t come as a shock, but there is reportedly trouble in paradise for 17-year-old Courtney Stodden and her 52-year-old husband, Doug Hutchison.

Stodden, the aspiring singer who married Lost actor Hutchison when she was 16, has signed on to join VH1′s Couples Therapy, TMZ reported.

The couple said they have “obvious problems in their relationship because of their age difference and the notoriety they’ve gotten because of their relationship,” a source close to the show told TMZ.

Couples Therapy is set to premiere in September. Filming began a few days ago, according to TMZ.

“FYI Stoddenista’s: Will be m.i.a for about 3 weeks -- packing up & heading out to shoot a reality show! Love you all xxx God Bless, Courtney,” Stodden tweeted Monday.

Alec Baldwin Weds Yoga Instructor Hilaria Thomas

Gareth Cattermole/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Alec Baldwin wed yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas yesterday at downtown Manhattan’s St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral.

Thomas wore a silk magnolia trumpet Amsale gown with cap sleeves and a keyhole back neckline accented with crystal buttons, and her mother and Baldwin’s daughter from his marriage to Kim Basinger, Ireland Baldwin, also wore Amsale. Hilaria’s mother wore a navy jersey sheath gown with a cowl neckline and Ireland Baldwin wore a slate silk chiffon gown with a strapless neckline and a lightly pleated bodice.

The New York Post reported earlier this week that because the happy couple is wary of paparazzi — Baldwin scuffled with a New York Daily News photographer last week — they had yet to tell guests where the reception would take place. But a source close to Baldwin told that’s nonsense.

“Everyone knows where to go,” the source said, adding that while Baldwin and Thomas didn’t send out traditional wedding invites, “the idea that they are not telling people” details “is just not true.”

If the couple is planning a honeymoon, it may have to wait. Thomas is scheduled to be back at her yoga studio on July 2, and Baldwin is set to host documentary film festival on July 6 in East Hampton.
