Judge Warns Lindsay Lohan She Could Do Jail Time

Photo Courtesy - ABC News(LOS ANGELES) -- Going to jail is a very real possibility for Lindsay Lohan. Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz told the Mean Girls star during a hearing Wednesday she will go to jail if she accepts a plea deal in connection with charges she stole a $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California jewelry store last month.  Judge Schwartz told Lohan he would sentence her to jail if she pleaded guilty or no contest, adding that if she doesn't accept a plea deal, the matter will head towards a preliminary hearing.

Lohan is scheduled to return to court March 10th when the case could be wrapped up or a time for a new hearing will be scheduled.  It's unclear what kind of plea deal may have been offered by the prosecution.

Report: Lindsay Lohan’s Troubles to Be Basis for Movie

Photo Courtesy - YORK) -- A movie based on the troubled life of actress Lindsay Lohan is being developed. The New York Post reports 26-year-old model and heiress Lydia Hearst Shaw has been cast in the lead role as a comic character based on the troubled Mean Girls star. Screenwriter Charles Casillo tells the newspaper, “Lydia will play a bratty movie goddess in and out of rehab, in trouble with the law, and hounded by greedy agents, predatory paparazzi, off-the-wall stalkers and crazed media.”

Casillo says the movie, entitled, Dogs in Pocketbooks, “is in no way mean-spirited towards Lindsay.” Casilo adds, “It’s the kind of thing [Lindsay] has spoofed about herself in the past. It’s more of a satire about the crazy people around her and the situations they generate.”

Dynasty actress Joan Collins has been cast in the film as a high-powered agent. Filming begins in New York and L.A. in February.
