Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox Had a Fling?

Dave Hogan/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Shia LaBeouf is reportedly admitting that he had a fling with his Transformers co-star, Megan Fox.

"Look, you're on the set for six months, with someone who's rooting to be attracted to you, and you're rooting to be attracted to them," he said in an interview with Details magazine. "I never understood the separation of work and life in that situation? But the time I spent with Megan was our own thing, and I think you can see the chemistry on screen."

LaBeouf does not give any details on when the romance happened or if it was during Fox's relationship with Brian Austin Green, who is now Fox's husband.

Megan Fox Axed From 'Transformers' After Hitler Comment?

Michael Buckner/Getty Images For Maui Film Festival(LOS ANGELES) -- When the new Transformers movie opens over the July 4 weekend, Megan Fox will be absent from the cast.

A recent report reveals that the screen siren who got her break on the first two Transformers films was dumped from the franchise after Steven Spielberg ordered director Michael Bay to fire her. According to Britain's Daily Mail, the legendary director was outraged when Fox compared Bay to Hitler in a 2009 interview.

Spielberg is the executive producer of Transformers: Dark of the Moon.

Calls to reps for Fox, Bay and Spielberg were not immediately returned.

Fox was replaced by Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntingdon-Whitley.

The 25-year-old Fox had said the reason she left the Transformers series was to pursue other acting opportunities. But Bay recently revealed the real reason. "You know the Hitler thing. Steven (Spielberg) said, fire her right now," he was quoted saying in the Daily Mail.

It all started when Fox gave an interview to London's Wonderland Magazine before filming began on the third installment. "[Bay] wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is," she said. "So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward."

"He has no social skills at all," she continued. "And it's endearing to watch him. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."

Bay later said that he was not hurt by the Hitler comment.

But apparently the damage had been done.
