(LOS ANGELES) -- Lady Gaga is becoming quite the journalist. After recently landing a gig as a columnist for V magazine, it was announced Thursday that Gaga will serve as the global guest editor-in-chief for the daily newspaper Metro for its May 17 edition in 20 countries. The newspaper says she will "highlight issues surrounding equality and individuality," two topics that are popular with Gaga.
Metro is also holding a contest that will allow a fan to join Gaga as an editorial assistant at the newspaper's London headquarters. Gaga says, "Let’s see how fans would define what ‘Born This Way’ is for them." She continues, “I say I was born to be brave. That’s part of my mission in life. I was born to follow my artistic visions. Look into yourself. Are you born to be brave?”
Gaga's new album, Born This Way, is due out May 23.
