Michael Lohan Denies Saying Lindsay Lohan Is a High-Priced Escort

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan is not a high-priced escort, according to her father Michael Lohan.

Michael defended his daughter to TMZ in response to a tabloid magazine story that quoted him as allegedly saying the troubled actress was being paid to date rich men.

Star magazine quoted Michael as saying about Lindsay, "She is getting paid to date rich men."

The magazine also quoted the elder Lohan as saying his ex-wife, Dina, "is pimping [Lindsay] out.  It's disgusting."

Michael tells TMZ, "By absolutely no means did I ever make such a statement...ever."

"Sure, Lindsay and other celebs make personal appearances and get paid for it.  Sure, she and they get paid to go to birthday parties and other occasions.  But for sex?  Are you kidding me?  I would never say that because she would never do that and it never happened," he says.

Lindsay is believed to have earned at least $100,000 recently for a personal appearance at a New Year’s Eve party in London for Brunei’s Haji Abdul Azim.  He is third in line to throne of the small, Southeast Asian nation.

The episode of The Trisha Goddard Show with Michael Lohan airs on Thursday.

Michael Lohan Claims He Helped 'Octomom' Get into Rehab

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- What role did Lindsay Lohan's father play in "Octomom's" decision to enter rehab?  The answer depends on whom you ask.

TMZ.com reports Michael Lohan worked with Nadya Suleman's manager, Gina Rodriguez, to get "Octomom" into rehab for what has been described as prescription drug addiction and "anxiety, exhaustion and stress" issues.

However, Rodriguez tells E! News, "Michael Lohan's only participation in this was that he gave me a number to a California rehab," adding, "[The TMZ story] also said that Michael and I arranged the treatment, which is not correct."

Despite Rodriguez's comments, Lohan maintains that he came to "Octomom's" aid.

He claims to E! News, "I was contacted by Gina Rodriguez to put together a TREATMENT PLAN and FACILITY for Nadya!  Those things only!"

Report: Lindsay Lohan's Dad Called Dr. Drew for Intervention

Stefania D'Alessandro/Getty Images for amfAR(LOS ANGELES) -- Last week, Michael Lohan reportedly tried to stage an intervention for his daughter Lindsay Lohan at her home, but the effort reportedly crashed and burned when the cops were called on the would-be interveners for trespassing.

TMZ is now reporting that Michael looked to therapist Dr. Drew Pinsky to try to help Lindsay -- who her dad thinks has relapsed and needs rehab as well as a new set of positive influences.  However, the Celebrity Rehab host and therapist reportedly turned Michael down, saying Lindsay needed a lower-profile specialist, and recommended another expert to help.

So far, Lindsay's camp won't comment officially on the situation, though a "source" close to the actress insisted to TMZ that she's clean and sober.

Lindsay Lohan's Dad Tries to Stage Intervention for Her

Jonathan Leibson/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan didn't have a quiet weekend, thanks to her father.  He went to her home in Beverly Hills, Calif., in an unsuccessful attempt to stage an intervention for the Mean Girls star.

Michael Lohan tells E! News that he was concerned that she might be drinking again, so he and a few other people showed up to the home on Friday afternoon.  However, Michael says, a man who described himself as Lindsay's boyfriend refused them entry.  Police subsequently responded to a call regarding trespassers.

TMZ.com reports Michael had consulted with Lindsay's manager and lawyers, who signed off on the intervention.  Michael reportedly told them in an email last month that he heard his daughter was "drinking between a bottle and a bottle and a half of vodka per day," and suggested that she may have been taking Adderall.

Lindsay denied part of Michael's account on Twitter, writing, "I don't have a boyfriend. I have Chanel, Hermes and diamonds. X."

Her mother, Dina Lohan, who has an acrimonious relationship with Michael, tells E! News, "This sole act by my ex was not an intervention, nor was this extreme antic sanctioned by any member of Lindsay's family or her professional team of handlers.  It's all about her father obsessed with making a name for himself in the news once again."

According to TMZ, Lindsay hopes to obtain an order of protection against Michael, with whom she was already upset for recording a conversation she had with him regarding a well-publicized argument she recently had with her mom.

Michael believed that Lindsay's alleged relapse may have caused her to miss post-production work on her film The Canyons

The film's screenwriter, Bret Easton Ellis, tweeted about her no-show last week, but a producer for the flick tells E! News, "Lindsay has been busy doing press for Liz & Dick.  Bret was jesting since he was going to the Chateau [Marmont] that night.  Inside joke between us all that has been misconstrued."

Liz & Dick is the upcoming Lifetime movie starring Lindsay as Elizabeth Taylor.

Report: More Hollywood Club Drama for Lindsay Lohan

Toby Canham/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Note to Lindsay Lohan: You may want to steer clear of the Smoke & Mirrors club at The Standard hotel in Hollywood.

Earlier this month, Lohan was accused of shoving a woman at the club.  On Wednesday night, TMZ.com reports, she was driven to the hotel by a friend who hit another car in a parking garage.  The Mean Girls star reportedly then called her father, Michael Lohan, who arrived and took her inside the club.

According to TMZ, the drama continued inside when a female patron made a "snide" remark about how Lindsay was "going clubbing with her dad."  The website says the actress yelled to the woman, "Shut the f*** up."  TMZ reports the woman responded by throwing a drink at Lindsay.  Daddy Lohan and Lindsay then left the club; he appeared on TMZ Thursday to give his side of the story.

TMZ notes that neither Lindsay nor her dad drank alcohol at the club.

As if Lindsay needed any more bad news, Radar Online now claims cops have surveillance camera footage of her at the club from the night on which a woman claims the actress shoved her -- the night Lindsay insists she was at home watching TV.

Michael Lohan Taken to Hospital After Collapsing

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Michael Lohan collapsed during an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting on Tuesday and was transported to a hospital, reports RadarOnline.com.

Lindsay Lohan's father was taken by ambulance to Palm Beach Gardens Hospital, where doctors determined that he had a blood clot in his lung.  A source told the site that Lohan underwent a CAT scan and an MRI, and he was given medication to dissolve the clot.

The source added, "Michael's still waiting on the test results and we're not sure when he'll be released from the hospital."

Lohan has been in Florida attending a 120-day court-appointed rehab and domestic violence intervention program.  The rehab stint stems from a domestic violence case involving ex Kate Major.

The 51-year-old has visited the emergency room several times while in the Sunshine State.  Lohan had surgery to unclog his artery and repair blockage in his heart in early December.  Shortly after that, he was rushed to the hospital with a staph infection.

Michael Lohan Pleads No Contest to Domestic Violence Charges

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(TAMPA, Fla.) -- Lindsay Lohan's father pleaded no contest in Tampa, Fla., Wednesday to domestic violence charges in connection with an alleged dispute he had last month with his on-again, off-again partner.

Under his plea deal, Michael Lohan must serve two years' probation, including a stint at a Fort Myers residential program, according to The Tampa Tribune.  If he completes the residential program, he will take part in a domestic batterer's intervention program.

The 51-year-old Lohan was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with domestic battery in connection with an alleged confrontation he had with 29-year-old Kate Major.  He was arrested a second time later that week for allegedly contacting her in violation of the terms of his release.

A Tampa judge on Wednesday ordered him to have no contact with Major.  At one point, the judge chastised Lohan for making faces at Major during his court appearance.

Major claimed Wednesday that Lohan secretly recorded a sex tape of the two and threatened to release it if she failed to drop the allegations against him. She said she is now in possession of the tape.

Injunction Reached Between Lindsay Lohan's Father and His Partner

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan's father is under orders to stay away from his on-again, off-again partner, with whom he was involved in an alleged domestic dispute last month.

Tampa Bay's TBO.com reports Michael Lohan and Kate Major have agreed to a permanent injunction that calls for him to stay at least 500 feet away from her.  It also forbids him from making contact with her.

The injunction was reached during a court hearing Tuesday in Sarasota, Florida.

The 51-year-old Lohan was arrested on Oct. 25 and charged with domestic battery in connection with an alleged confrontation he had with the 28-year-old Major.  He was arrested a second time later that week for allegedly contacting her in violation of the terms of his release.  He has an arraignment scheduled for Wednesday.

Major has her own legal headache: she reportedly was arrested Monday at a Los Angeles airport after police say she was denied boarding on a Delta flight because she was intoxicated.  Police say she subsequently committed battery on an airline staff member.

Still Behind Bars: Michael Lohan Denied Bail

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(TAMPA) -- Lindsay Lohan's dad is still in a Tampa, Florida, jail following his two arrests last week. The St. Petersburg Times reports Michael Lohan was denied bail Saturday after he allegedly contacted his on-again, off-again girlfriend, Kate Major, in violation of the terms of his release in a domestic battery case involving the couple.

Lohan's attorney argued that Major had initiated contact with his client by trying to call him, saying she "induced the whole thing." Major denied the allegation, telling the judge Lohan called her five times while sounding "completely intoxicated."

Lohan, 51, appeared at the hearing via a video feed from jail, where he was sitting in a wheelchair and had a bandage on his arm. Police said he tried to escape cops prior to his arrest on Thursday by jumping from a balcony, crashing 32 feet below. Lohan was previously arrested Tuesday and charged with domestic battery in connection with an alleged confrontation with Major.

Lohan's attorney said his client was set this week to visit TV's Celebrity Rehab, on which he appeared, and participate in the promotion of a charity boxing event. He also intended to support his daughter at her scheduled court appearance in Los Angeles Wednesday after having her probation revoked earlier this month. Those plans are now up in the air due to his current predicament.

Lohan's persona problems apparently extend beyond Tampa to New York. TMZ.com reports there's an outstanding warrant for Lohan's arrest in Suffolk County, Long Island, because he's been accused of owing child support to a child in Montana he allegedly fathered.
