Justin Bieber Producer Working to 'Segue' Him to 'Young Adulthood'

Photo Courtesy - Island Def Jam(TAMPA, Fla.) -- When Justin Bieber's next album comes out, you're going to witness an artistic growth of Justin Timberlake-sized proportions.  That's according to producer/songwriter Sean Garrett, who tells Billboard that he's been working "feverishly" on Justin's follow-up to My World 2.0

Garrett, who was behind hits like Usher's "Yeah!," Beyonce's "Ring the Alarm" and Chris Brown's "Run It," says, "What we're trying to do with Justin is to segue him into young adulthood," adding, "We want all the fans that started out with him to still be intrigued...but we want to also stretch out a little bit and make the fans that are 22-23 years old love Justin as well."

Garret compares the transition to the one that Justin Timberlake made when he went from 'N Sync's last album to his first solo record.

No word on when the new album will be out.

Justin Bieber Matches 'N SYNC Chart Record

Photo Courtesy - Island Def JamThis week, Justin Bieber's My World 2.0 marks its 27th straight week in the top 10 on the album chart.  In fact, the album's only been on the chart for 27 weeks total, and it's never left the top 10 throughout that time.  That means that Bieber has now matched a record set by another group of teen idols.  Yahoo!'s Chart Beat column reports the last album to spend its first 27 weeks in the top 10 was 'N SYNC's No Strings Attached, back in 2000.
