Michael Lohan Claims He Helped 'Octomom' Get into Rehab

Frazer Harrison/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- What role did Lindsay Lohan's father play in "Octomom's" decision to enter rehab?  The answer depends on whom you ask.

TMZ.com reports Michael Lohan worked with Nadya Suleman's manager, Gina Rodriguez, to get "Octomom" into rehab for what has been described as prescription drug addiction and "anxiety, exhaustion and stress" issues.

However, Rodriguez tells E! News, "Michael Lohan's only participation in this was that he gave me a number to a California rehab," adding, "[The TMZ story] also said that Michael and I arranged the treatment, which is not correct."

Despite Rodriguez's comments, Lohan maintains that he came to "Octomom's" aid.

He claims to E! News, "I was contacted by Gina Rodriguez to put together a TREATMENT PLAN and FACILITY for Nadya!  Those things only!"

Octomom Nadya Suleman Checks into Rehab

Paul Warner/Getty Images(PALMDALE, Calif.) -- The Octomom is in rehab. Nadya Suleman checked into the Chapman House Treatment Center last week to deal with “anxiety, exhaustion and stress” stemming from an addiction to Xanax.

“Ms. Suleman has been taking Xanax that was prescribed by her doctor to deal with her anxiety but she felt she needed a treatment program to help with her recovery,” her representative said in a statement to ABC News. “She will be in treatment for 28 days or more if needed.”

The rep noted, “Although the rehab offered to treat her at no charge, Ms. Suleman opted to pay for the program.”

Suleman reportedly left her 14 children in the care of three nannies and a couple of friends. She filed for bankruptcy earlier this year but appears to have come into cash after launching her adult film career. Earlier this month, she gave the website Rumorfix a tour of her new, 5,000-square-foot Palmdale, Calif. home.

Does 'The Octomom' Have a New Boyfriend?

Paul Warner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Nadya Suleman, also known as "The Octomom," has a new boyfriend, according to TMZ.

The 36-year-old was caught on video being picked up by amateur bodybuilder Frankie G from a Los Angeles airport.  Frankie is seen giving her a peck on the lips on arrival at the airport.

Sources say the couple has been dating for about two months and met “through church.”  The relationship is described as “getting serious.”

In March, Suleman told Closer magazine, “I’ve been celibate for 13 years and plan to remain so until the octuplets are 18.”

The mother of 14 children was previously married to Marco Gutierrez.  They separated in 2000 and divorced in 2008.

Strip Club Threatens to Sue Octomom for Cancelled Performance

Paul Warner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Nadya Suleman, better known as the Octomom, was scheduled to appear topless at a Florida strip club in July, but pulled out recently when one of the club’s employees called her “a little crazy” on TV.

But owners of T’s Lounge in West Palm Beach have sent a letter to her via their lawyer, claiming Suleman failed to give written notice of her cancellation, according to TMZ.com.  The club is likely to sue if the performance does not go ahead as originally planned at a date in the near future.

However, Suleman’s rep told TMZ, “Nadya will not be appearing at this club in July or in the future.”  The rep adds, “Nadya felt defamed and was in fear for her life to step into a club where they have already set a negative tone.”

It has also been reported that the mother of 14 children will go after the club for defamation and has retained the services of an attorney.

Report: Octomom Scrubs Stripping Gig

Paul Warner/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Nadya Suleman, better known as the “Octomom,” has reportedly cancelled a planned stripping appearance at T’s Lounge in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Suleman was scheduled to appear July 11-15, and had planned only to appear topless — but TMZ is reporting she pulled the plug because the club’s staffers were “talking smack” about her to the media.

The 36-year-old became known as “Octomom” when she gave birth to octuplets following fertility treatment in January 2009. She was already a mother to six children at the time.

Suleman was reportedly to be paid “thousands” of dollars for the stripping appearance. Suleman recently filmed her first solo pornographic video, due to be released this summer, and is reportedly feeling “sexually liberated” as a result.

Paul Warner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Sources close to Nadya Suleman, better known as the “Octomom,” have told TMZ that she has booked an appearance at T’s Lounge in West Palm Beach, Fla., where she will appear as a stripper for the first time. She is scheduled to appear July 11-15.

Suleman recently filmed her first solo pornographic video, due to be released this summer, and is reportedly feeling “sexually liberated” as a result.

"Octomom" Files for Bankruptcy

Paul Warner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The "Octomom's" difficult April ended on Monday with her filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in federal court, according to E! Online. But TMZ reports she is trying to turn her financial ship around -- by signing a deal to star in a movie for a porn company.

According to court documents, Nadya Suleman says she has less than $50,000 in assets and owes between $500,000 and $1 million to creditors including Amir Haddadin, the owner of her home; Orkin Pest Control; Kaiser Permanete; Verizon Wireless; Sylvan Learning Center; and others.

Earlier this year, Suleman -- who has 14 children, including octuplets born in 2009 -- revealed that she was accepting $2,000 per month in food stamps from the state of California.

Suleman's van was vandalized and she received a death threat during an incident at her California home on April 7. Last week, she was the subject of a child services investigation after her former hairdresser went public with photos that reportedly depicted her home as being filthy. Police subsequently determined that there was nothing unusual going on at the home and that Suleman's kids were safe.

Suleman is apparently now willing to cross a line she previously said she wouldn't: star in a porn movie, TMZ reported Tuesday morning. The gossip site says she's signed on to appear in a video for a company that was willing to pay, "a lot more than the $10,000 she made for [recently] posing topless." The film will be shot soon, and released by the summer.

Suleman had previously turned down a million dollar offer from porn giant Vivid to headline a movie for the company.

‘Octomom’ Claims Child Neglect Investigation ‘Set Up’

Paul Warner/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Nadya Suleman is fighting back against the media’s characterization of her and the claims of child neglect that put the controversial mother of 14 back in the headlines this week.

“We were set up,” Suleman told Good Morning America of photos leaked to celebrity tabloid website TMZ.com that purported to show the family living in “squalor.”

The photos were provided to TMZ by Suleman’s hairdresser, who claimed that her client kept her children locked in a room and forced her toddlers to use training toilets outside the home.

“She thought it was unacceptable that they’re, you know, half-naked, goin’ potty,” Suleman said, referring to her 3-year-old octuplets.  “I mean, moms out there, come on.”

Another picture shows Suleman modeling her just-done hair — while in the background a chair is seen jammed under the doorknob of the kids’ room in what is described as an effort to prevent them from getting out.

“I didn’t want the kids to go in there at the time and one of my older kids jammed the chair up there so they wouldn’t keep opening and closing the door,” Suleman told GMA.

The photos and resulting media coverage prompted police and California child welfare officials to visit the family’s Southern California home Tuesday to investigate.  Officials, however, said they did not find anything unusual and determined the children were safe.

“They didn’t discover any mistreatment so no further action was taken,” Cindy Knapp with the La Habra Police Department told ABC News.

Suleman, 38, became known as “Octomom” and gained celebrity fame after she gave birth to the eight babies in January 2009.  She already had six other children, aged 2 to 7 at the time.

The single mother drew scorn for undergoing fertility treatments to have more children when she was unemployed and unable to take care of her existing family.  Suleman’s hairdresser also told TMZ that she spent $520 on a Brazilian blow-out and haircut for herself, all while continuing to receive welfare checks.

“That’s not fair,” said Suleman, who claims the $520 was spent on 15 haircuts in total, not just the single haircut the hairdresser claimed.

“It’s almost over.  This is our last month on help,” she said of the $4,000 to $5,000 per month she receives in public assistance.  “I am making money…I have jobs.”

Suleman has also been criticized for her willingness to keep her kids and herself in the public eye, including a stint on the Dr. Drew show and a recent semi-nude spread she did for a British magazine.

“I’ve been using the media to pay the bills,” she said.  ”Any offer now is to take care of my kids.  I had to strip myself of pride.”

As for the public image of her as an unfit mother – emphasized again by the leaked photos for her graffiti-covered home — Suleman says she wants to change that image.

“I hate ‘Octomom,’” she said.  “I wanna’ take a freaking sledgehammer and crack her in half.  That is some freak that they created in the media.  I need it to be done.”

Talk to ‘Octomom’? Website Offers Calls for $12 a Minute

Paul Warner/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Have you ever really wanted just to pick up the phone and chat with Nadya Suleman, the so-called Octomom? Or dial Dina or Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan‘s infamous parents? Maybe it never crossed your mind to talk to them. But now, for better or worse, they are just a phone call away.

Dial-a-Star.com, a new website launched a week ago, is making this all possible — for a price, of course. The website offers users the chance to talk in real time to 27 “celebs” it has signed up for varying charges. To speak to Octomom? It’ll cost $12.00 per minute. To hear Angelina Pivarnick, formerly of “Jersey Shore,” in her “Joisey” accent? That’ll cost $15 per minute.

Gina Rodriguez, owner of Dial-A-Star.com, told ABC News she started it as a way for celebrities to speak directly with their fans.

The website calls itself “the only place you can talk directly to a TRUE Celebrity!” Your paid-for conversation, the site says, is completely private.

“Our service is unique and offers a completely discreet one-on-one conversation with celebs. This service is completely private and anonymous. The celebs cannot see your phone number, address, e-mail, or billing details,” the website says.

Rodriguez told ABC News that Suleman receives 50 percent of the money made from these calls.

Octomom briefly became a media star when she announced she was pregnant with eight babies at once, in addition to six other children she already had. She delivered them in January 2009.

“She sets the days and times she will take calls and she answers all of them if possible. If she is on a phone call, the fan can book a session to speak to her,” Rodriguez said.
