Sharon Stone Sued by Former Nanny

Michael Tran/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Sharon Stone’s former nanny is suing her, claiming the Basic Instinct actress used racially derogatory comments around her and violated labor laws.

Erlinda T. Elemen, a Filipino woman who worked as Stone’s live-in housekeeper and nanny for five years, filed a lawsuit Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court describing Stone’s various offenses. Elemen claims she was asked not to speak to Stone’s children because Stone did not want them to pick up her Filipino accent. Elemen also says Stone criticized her for attending church and at one point forbade her to read the Bible in the house.

Elemen claims that Stone withheld overtime payment from her. When Elemen brought it up, she claims Stone paid her the wages but accused her of stealing, berated her in front of guests, and eventually fired her for accepting the overtime pay.

The nanny is seeking an unspecified amount of unpaid wages, damages and penalties. Representatives for Stone did not immediately respond to ABC News' requests for comment.

Last year, Stone was sued by a man who slipped and fell 15 feet while working on her house. She was ordered to pay him $232,000.

Halle Berry Reportedly Seeks Restraining Order Against Ex

Steve Granitz/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Actress Halle Berry and Gabriel Aubry, the father of their 3-year-old daughter Nahla, were both in Los Angeles Superior Court Tuesday for a closed-door hearing, with the aim of determining if, as is being reported, Aubry was involved in an altercation that became physical with the young girl’s nanny.

Berry was seeking a restraining order prohibiting Aubry from having any contact with their daughter on the grounds she feared for her safety, reports TMZ.

Unverified police reports suggest Aubry is accused of allegedly shoving the nanny into a door while she was holding the child.  Hollywood police confirmed to E! that such a report was filed on Jan. 19 but refused to make a copy available and could not confirm that Aubry was mentioned in it.

According to TMZ, Berry will have to wait until Monday for a decision, but E! reported the actress left the courtroom smiling.

A separate restraining order was filed against Aubry by the nanny, Alliance Kamdem, who claims she has been “psychologically traumatized” since she took her position.

Kamdem alleges Aubry became verbally abusive and aggressive toward her.  Kamden’s request for a restraining order against Aubry was refused after the judge determined there was no proof of harassment or future harm.
