Lil Jon, Mark McGrath Ready to Compete on 'Celebrity Apprentice'

Mike Stobe/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- The fourth installment of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice debuts this Sunday night and it's an unusually music-heavy lineup this year.

Among the contestants:  Rapper Lil Jon, Sugar Ray lead singer Mark McGrath, music legend Dionne Warwick, classic rocker Meat Loaf, David Cassidy -- who was the Justin Bieber of his day; country star John Rich and Latoya Jackson, Michael Jackson's sister.

The contestants will be split into two teams and compete against each other in a series of business-related challenges around New York City to raise money for their favorite charities.  The eventual winner will be "hired" by Donald Trump and earn the title of "The Celebrity Apprentice," as well as an extra $250,000 thousand for their charity.

Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath, who's also hosted Don't Forget the Lyrics! and co-hosted the TV show Extra, says he wants to win because, as he puts it, "I've already done two jobs I can't do: sing and host.  So why not be the next Celebrity Apprentice?"  Mark explains that he makes a good contestant because, out of all the others competing, he's "done the most with the least."  He says since he doesn't have the best singing voice, and he's not a businessman.

"I've really had to sorta over-compensate for things I don't do well....I've had to really sort of tap into my own senses and make it happen," McGrath said.

Lil Jon, who hasn't had a big hit on his own in a couple of years, says he's competing so that people can see a different side of him.

"I think people underestimate because I'm the rap guy, I'm a crazy guy, screaming all the time,” Jon said. “But that doesn't mean that I'm not intelligent."

"A lot of stuff that I'm involved in is about branding...I have a couple different I want to prove they are wrong."

Michael Douglas: 'Odds Are' He's Beaten Cancer

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Michael Douglas says he's been on a "wild six-month ride" with throat cancer that may have come to an end.  In an interview with NBC's Matt Lauer, the Oscar-winning actor says his tumor is gone.

He says, "I think the odds are with the tumor gone and what I know about this particular type of cancer that I've got it beat."

The 66-year-old Douglas, who announced his cancer diagnosis in August, said he lost about 32 pounds while undergoing treatment for the disease, but has gained back about 12 pounds.  He said he still has to be checked out by a doctor once a month for the next few months.

Douglas says he's celebrated his improved health condition with his family, including his two children with wife Catherine Zeta-Jones.  He also says the kids may have been affected by the paparazzi's interest in his cancer battle.

Douglas declares, "I resent the amount of imposition on our children, too, because it used to be at least they would try to keep them out of that, and they don't at all.  They were having -- there was sort of a macabre enjoyment out of sort of watching me go down there for a while I felt by the paparazzi."

Douglas has a 10-year-old son and a seven-year-old daughter with Zeta-Jones.

A part of Lauer's interview with Douglas will air on NBC's Today show Tuesday morning.  The full interview will air Sunday, Jan. 23 on Dateline NBC.

Kanye West Cancels 'Today' Show Performance

Photo Courtesy - Island Def Jam(NEW YORK) -- Kanye West has pulled out of a Nov. 26 appearance on the Today show, a publicist for the program confirmed to ABC News Radio.

West explained in a rant on Twitter that he was backing out of the performance because he felt he had been "set up" by Today and interviewer Matt Lauer when he appeared on the show earlier this week.

The show chose to play a clip of him interrupting Taylor Swift at the MTV Awards while discussing comments he made regarding former President George W. Bush.  Lauer later defended the show's decision to do so, but Kanye wrote on Twitter, "Did you see them try to justify playing the audio under my interview.  Yo, sometimes you're just wrong, and it ain't nothing you can say to justify it, believe me, I know!"  Predicting that he'd be criticized for his decision, Kanye wrote, "It's very simple to call someone angry or spoiled or the one thousand names I've been called, but it's harder to try to take a look at what's really behind the curtain."

The rapper made it clear that he carries no personal vendetta against Lauer. He wrote, "I don't hate Matt Lauer. We don't promote hate. That's the whole point!  I promote love and truth!...they made a mistake.  They thought they could pull it, but they couldn't!  That was just a small representation of a bigger media play that's been going on since the beginning of time."

Kanye ended his rant by saying, "Much love to Matt and the whole Today show.  I accept y'alls future apology in advance LOL!"
