Nick Gordon Arrested for Speeding

Alpharetta Dept. of Public Safety(ATLANTA) -- On the same day Bobbi Kristina Brown wrecked her car, her adopted brother, Nick Gordon, was arrested for speeding.

Alpharetta, Ga., police nabbed Gordon just after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday after he was clocked going 82 mph in a 35 mph zone, according to a press release from the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety.

After he was arrested and cited for reckless driving and speeding, Gordon was booked into the North Fulton jail annex before being bonded out.

ABC News was unable to reach Gordon for comment.

The 23-year-old was taken into custody because the area where he was found speeding is in “a high vehicular and pedestrian traffic area,” filled with retail stores and restaurants, according to the release obtained by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“In a situation such as this, the department has a duty to take reasonable enforcement action to protect the public,” the release read.

Gordon was pulled over while behind the wheel of a grey Camaro. Earlier that day, Brown, 19, escaped injury after losing control of her black Camaro and driving down an embankment. She is the daughter of the late Whitney Houston.

Both incidents occurred days after the pair, who have long kept people guessing about the status of their relationship, appeared to have split.

“@REALbkBrown and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been,” Gordon tweeted Nov. 18.

Brown also hinted that any romance was over in a series of cryptic tweets.

“Who do I trust in this world? Pfft well that’s easy beezie, #Myself,” she wrote Nov. 26.

A court date for Gordon is scheduled for Feb. 12.

Is Bobbi Kristina Really Engaged?

Lifetime(NEW YORK) -- Bobbi Kristina Brown, the only daughter of the late Whitney Houston, claims she's engaged to her adopted brother-turned-boyfriend Nick Gordon in a new clip of her upcoming reality show, The Houstons: On Our Own.

"We're engaged," Bobbi Kristina announces to her family, who meet the news with shocked faces. The one-minute trailer obtained by E! News shows the mid-meal declaration of love, but on Lifetime's website, the engagement reveal is missing from the thirty-second trailer posted there.

"Engagement? This is unacceptable," Bobbi Kris's aunt, Patricia Houston, says in the longer trailer.  Still, when asked by ABC News if the couple are indeed engaged, Pat replied, "You just have to watch the show."  Patricia Houston was Whitney's longtime manager and closest confidante.

Rumors of Bobbi Kristina and Nick's engagement have been swirling online for months, and picked up steam when Bobbi Kristina was seen wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.  Bobbi Kristina's rep denied to People magazine that she was engaged, instead saying that the 19-year-old aspiring actress was wearing a ring that belonged to her late mother.

The Houstons: On Our Own, starring Whitney's brother Gary, his wife Patricia and Bobbi Kris, is a peek inside the lives of the pop icon's family and how they're coping with her death. Whitney fans will also get a glimpse of her mother, Cissy Houston, who makes appearances throughout the series and even reveals a rift between her and Bobbi Kristina.

The Houstons: On Our Own is set to premiere Oct. 24 at 9/8c on Lifetime.

Car Belonging to Nick Gordon, ‘Adopted Son’ of Whitney Houston, Found Wrecked

Picture of Nick Gordon's car, according to -- Police in Georgia have discovered a severely damaged car belonging to Nick Gordon, the rumored boyfriend of Whitney Houston’s daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, in the parking lot of his apartment complex. They say the vehicle was involved in a front-end accident, though they cannot confirm that an accident was reported.

Officers were responding to a complaint of loud noises early on Tuesday morning at an apartment complex in Alpharetta, Ga., north of Atlanta, when they noticed the damaged car. Gordon, who lived with Brown and Houston from age 12, lives in the complex.

“We dispatched police officers, and when entering the parking gate we found a car that had already been wrecked,” Alpharetta Dept. of Public Safety Executive Officer George Gordon told ABC News.

While reported that the two were involved in a “scary car accident in Georgia,” Gordon said that he cannot confirm reports that Nick Gordon and Brown were in an accident.

According to an incident report, the black 2012 Chevy Camaro, registered to Gordon, was found, “with extensive front end damage backed into a parking space on the [complex's] second level parking deck.”

“The vehicle also had emergency flashers on and the air bags were deployed,” the report says. “It appears that the vehicle was in a front end collision … it was apparent that the vehicle was driven into the parking deck already damaged.”

After seeing the damaged car, police knocked on the doors of the apartment where the noise had been reported. According to the report, officers heard noise when they arrived, but once they identified themselves as police, the noise stopped. No one answered the door or responded, so the officers left the scene.

No one has yet contacted Alpharetta police to provide any details or to request a report regarding the damaged vehicle, and a determination will be made whether this incident should be investigated, police told ABC News.

Gordon, who Houston invited to live with her and her family after learning that his birth mother could no longer care for him, recently made headlines after he tweeted a photo of himself driving while brandishing a handgun. He soon took the image down.

The nature of the relationship between Gordon, 23, and the 19-year-old Brown, and whether it has evolved from a brother-sister bond to something more, has been questioned since the Feb. 11 death of Houston at the age of 48. Gordon told ABC News in March that he is not dating Brown, but they are  "just close -- just going through her mom’s passing and grieving together."

Just how their relationship has evolved since Houston’s death is not entirely clear. On Aug. 10, Bobbi Kristina posted a photo to her Instagram account of the pair kissing.

“1 of the main reasons why i even smile today.:) iloveyoubooboo , forever&always. “it’s just US now”..@Nickdgordon {<3},” she tweeted alongside the photo.

The two are slated to appear together on an upcoming reality series for Lifetime, The Houstons: On Our Own. The 14-episode show, which is set to premiere at the end of October, will follow Brown, Gordon and Houston’s sister-in-law Pat, brother Gary, and mother Cissy, as they “try [to] pick up the pieces,” according to a press release.

Bobbi Kristina Kissing Adopted Brother

@REALbkBrown(LOS ANGELES) -- Whitney Houston’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, appears to be getting even closer to her adopted brother Nick Gordon.

Bobbi Kristina posted a photo on Aug. 10 to her Instagram account of the pair kissing. The aspiring actress also showed off a diamond sparkler on her ring finger, which she has been spotted wearing since her mother’s death earlier this year.

“1 of the main reasons why i even smile today.:) iloveyoubooboo , forever&always. “it’s just US now”..@Nickdgordon {<3},” she tweeted alongside the photo.

Earlier that day, Bobbi Kristina posted a photo of the pair embracing, tweeting, “& still through those trials&tribulations the devil kept on trying to break them& soon realized… He couldn’t.”

On Aug. 8, what would have been the eve of Houston’s 49th birthday, the pair got matching tattoos of Houston’s initials and four doves.

The pair sparked dating reports earlier this year when they were spotted holding hands, with Bobbi Kristina again sporting her mom’s diamond sparkler on her ring finger.

Gordon told ABC News in March that they were not dating.

“We’re just close — just going through her mom’s passing and grieving together,” he said.

Gordon was first noticed at Houston’s funeral, sitting alongside Bobbi Kristina. According to sources close to the family and a TMZ report, Houston invited Gordon to live with her more than 10 years ago after learning that his birth mother could no longer care for him.

A source close to Houston told ABC News in March that Gordon was never legally adopted by the singer nor was he left anything in her will. Instead, Houston left her entire estate to her only child, Bobbi Kristina Brown, who has to wait until she’s 30 to inherit everything.

Is Whitney Houston's Daughter Engaged to 'Adopted Brother?'

Tibrina Hobson/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Whitney Houston's daughter may be even closer to her so-called "adopted brother" than initial reports suggested. According to People magazine, Bobbi Kristina and Nick Gordon may be engaged.

The magazine notes that 19-year-old Bobbi Kristina was seen wearing a ring on her engagement finger recently. A source says, "Yes, they are engaged, but the family is trying to coax her away from it."

Another source claims Gordon popped the question more than a week ago, but it's uncertain whether she said yes. The second source also says the ring on Bobbi Kristina's finger belonged to her mother.

Houston's mother, Cissy Houston, reportedly disapproves of the romance.

Gordon, whom Houston looked after for years, has denied the two are in a relationship.
