Nicole Richie Says She's Not Feuding with Jessica Simpson

Jason Skerritt/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Nicole Richie says she's on friendly terms with Jessica Simpson and is not feuding with her, as an Us Weekly report claimed on Wednesday.

Speaking with Ryan Seacrest on Thursday, Richie said, "I actually love and adore Jessica. I've known her for years, first of all. I already knew who she was as a person. Who she is is someone who's very kind, very sweet and extremely smart, and a great businesswoman and someone I really respect."

An Us Weekly source had alleged that Richie and Simpson were having a hard time co-existing as mentors on a new NBC reality series, Fashion Star, which debuts in midseason. The source said, among other things, that Richie doesn't think Simpson has much fashion sense

Nicole Richie: Pregnancy Report Is 'Mean-Spirited and Cruel'

Jason Skerritt/WireImage(LOS ANGELES) -- Nicole Richie isn't happy that an online report is claiming she's pregnant. In a statement released to E! News, the 29-year-old former Simple Life star denied the rumor and said, "This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone's body is mean-spirited and cruel. People's bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues." Richie has two children, ages three and one and a half, with husband Joel Madden.  In recent years, she's been the repeated target of tabloid scrutiny due to alleged eating disorders.
