McCartney Adds Stadium Shows in Detroit, Cincinnati and Chicago

Dave Hogan/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Following the announcement of a second show at Yankee Stadium next month, Paul McCartney has now added three additional stadium dates to his On the Run Tour.  

In addition to his July 15 and 16 shows at Yankee Stadium, McCartney will also perform at Comerica Park in Detroit on July 24, Wrigley Field in Chicago on July 31 and the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on August 4.  Tickets for the Detroit and Cincinnati concerts go on sale June 17, while the Chicago show will go on sale June 20, all through

Paul's Detroit and Chicago shows will be his first in those cities since 2005, while the Cincinnati show will be his first in 18 years.

Paul McCartney Adds Second Date at Yankee Stadium

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Paul McCartney's Yankee Stadium concert scheduled for July 15 has been met with such overwhelming response that a second date has been added. The former Beatle will rock Yankee Stadium on July 16 as well, and tickets have just been put on sale.

The Yankee Stadium shows will mark the official kickoff of McCartney's "On the Run" tour.  More stadium gigs are expected to be announced soon, including a long-rumored date at Chicago's Wrigley Field.

Paul McCartney to Play Yankee Stadium July 15

Kevin Mazur/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Two years ago, Paul McCartney was the first major artist to perform at Citi Field, the new home of the New York Mets, and now he's getting around to playing at New York's other baseball stadium.  Sir Paul will rock Yankee Stadium for the very first time on July 15.  Tickets go on sale Monday, June 13 at 11 a.m.  The show will be part of his new 2011 On the Run Tour, and is only his second U.S. announced date this year.  This Friday, he's performing in Las Vegas.

McCartney's live shows in 2011 have so far included his first-ever gig in Peru, his first concert in Chile since 1993 and two big shows in Rio de Janeiro.
