Lindsay Lohan Back to Partying after Release from House Arrest

Stephen Dunn/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Lindsay Lohan was released early from her house arrest sentence on Wednesday and she wasted no time taking full advantage of her newfound freedom.

Lohan spent 35 days confined to her home after pleading no contest to misdemeanor necklace theft, but Wednesday evening she visited the Lexington Social House for a friend's party.  An onlooker told People.com, Lohan "was in a good mood.  She definitely seemed happy to be free and out celebrating with friends."

As for Lohan's thoughts on her first night on the town, she tweeted, "Of course me going to my best friends going away dinner is a headline - especially on my first day out of my house in 35 days. That does not give anyone the right to have a field day and manifest stories. IT WAS A GOING AWAY DINNER,THAT WAS IT. Nothing exciting happened aside from the very yummy hummus and pita. If anyone caused me to nearly fall it was the psychotic paparazzi.... off to the gym now- have a lovely day xo"

Lohan is no longer prohibited from consuming alcohol, but she will remain on probation from her two DUI cases in 2007 for the next three years.  She is due back in court on July 21, and still must complete her community service, but she is not required to submit to random drug or alcohol testing.

Pre-Oscar Festivities: A-Listers Party to The Roots

Photo Courtesy - Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- The Oscars have yet to be handed out, but the award for most rocking pre-Academy Awards bash goes to Rolling Stone, who brought out a slew of stars to Drai's Hollywood at the W Hotel Saturday night.

Midway through the night, party host Peter Travers – Rolling Stone film critic and host of ABC News Now's Popcorn With Peter Travers – tweeted, "RS Oscar party has Aaron Sorkin, 50 Cent, Joan Rivers & the young Hollywood casts of Glee, 90210, Pretty Little Liars in the same room. What!"

"What!" indeed. A potpourri of A-listers mixed and mingled to the sounds of The Roots into the wee hours of the morning, buzzing about who they might be celebrating after the Oscars. Trailers of this year's Oscar-nominated movies fueled anticipation.

Earlier in the evening, across town, Social Network star and best actor nominee Jesse Eisenberg played host to a more subdued crowd at L.A. Confidential's party. His face fills the cover of the magazine's annual awards season issue.
