Report: Justin Bieber Takes DNA Paternity Test

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Justin Bieber has reportedly taken a DNA test to disprove the paternity claim of a 20-year-old woman who alleged that a backstage bathroom sexual tryst following one of the pop star's concerts resulted in a pregnancy.

A source close to Bieber told ABC News that arrangements were made for Bieber to take the test.  ABC News cannot independently verify that, but the gossip website TMZ.com is reporting that the teen heartthrob took the test on Friday in New Jersey under what it reported were very controlled circumstances.

Mariah Yeater had initially filed a paternity suit against Bieber but abruptly withdrew it last week. She has since hired new legal representation and reportedly wants to settle out of court.

Bieber has steadfastly denied Yeater’s allegations, saying the story was “completely made up” and that he has never met her.

The pop star may take legal action against Yeater following the results of the test.

Yeater had earlier accused her former boyfriend, Robbie, of fathering her baby. In her court filings, Yeater alleged that she and Bieber engaged in a minutes-long tryst in a backstage bathroom at the Staples Center in Los Angeles following a concert in October 2010. She was 19 and Bieber, 16. Her son, Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater, was born in July.

His team says the pop star has no intention of reaching a settlement with Yeater, and added that text messages purportedly sent by Yeater are evidence of a classic celebrity shakedown.

In the messages, released by TMZ, Yeater allegedly wrote last week: “Pleeease ERASE ALL MESSAGES from my mom where she says Tristyn is Robbie’s Son. I’ll kick u when we get paid. I’m trusting you pleeease.”

In another text, Yeater allegedly writes: “Would you please stress to Robbie how important it is for him to be in his son’s life?”

Yeater also faces a bench trial next month on a misdemeanor battery charge filed against her last December claiming she slapped 18-year-old Robbie during a dispute.

Report: Woman Drops Paternity Suit Against Justin Bieber

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- The woman who accused Justin Bieber of being the father of her baby son has dropped her paternity lawsuit against the 17-year-old singer, TMZ reported Wednesday morning.

As it happened, the suit by 20-year-old Mariah Yeater was dismissed late last week, according to TMZ, while attorneys Lance Rogers and Matt Pare have also withdrawn from representing her.

Bieber vigorously denied the allegations of having had sex with Yeater following a concert last year that she alleged resulted in her becoming pregnant and having his child.  Bieber also offered to take a DNA test to prove his innocence.

Yeater might have decided to drop the paternity suit after Bieber's attorney Howard Weitzman threatened to sue the woman for making what he termed was a bogus claim.

Justin Bieber Dismisses ‘People Making Up This BS’

Ferdaus Shamim/WireImage(NEW YORK) -- Justin Bieber has a message for those who believe the claims that he fathered a child: ”SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN TO TOWN B*Tches!”

Though Bieber’s publicist confirmed late Monday that the 17-year-old pop star will take a DNA test in connection with 20-year-old Mariah Yeater’s paternity suit against him, Bieber’s still using Twitter to fight Yeater’s allegations that they had sex and he fathered her young son.

“So this past week and even today every rumor and lie about me possible has been coming out in the press,” he tweeted Tuesday. “Just need to ignore it..but…even through all the crap and lies…my fans have been there for me.”

Bieber went on to say that his new Christmas album, Under the Mistletoe, reached the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

“WE ARE THE #1 ALBUM!!,” he wrote. “so to the people making up this BS……SANTA CLAUS IS COMIN TO TOWN B*Tches! #ILOVEMYFANS!!”

Bieber added, "They can’t break us!” and retweeted fans who avowed they’d stand by him.
Bieber has previously said that he writes all his tweets. His publicist did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s request to confirm that Bieber typed out his latest messages.

Justin Bieber to Take Paternity Test

ABC/Donna Svennevik(LOS ANGELES) -- Justin Bieber will take a paternity test to settle questions about whether he is the father of a 20-year-old California woman’s child, the pop star’s spokesman said.

The 17-year-old singer will take the test when he returns to the United States from Europe, where he is on business, and then he will likely file suit against the woman, according to his representative.

“We’ll vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to protect Justin and to hold those involved with bringing this suit accountable for their actions,” Bieber’s publicist Matt Hiltzik said in a statement to ABC News.

Mariah Yeater filed a paternity suit against Bieber, claiming their tryst in a backstage bathroom at the Staples Center in Los Angeles following a concert in October 2010 resulted in the birth of her son Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater this July.

The threat of a retaliatory lawsuit from Bieber is not the only legal trouble facing Yeater.  Her very public allegations have placed a spotlight on her checkered past, including a domestic violence charge from an ex-boyfriend whom she earlier accused of fathering the baby she now says is Bieber’s.

Yeater faces a bench trial next month on a misdemeanor battery charge that she slapped her 18-year-old ex-boyfriend last December.   The charge could leave her facing six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

The Los Angeles Police Department has also not ruled out the possibility they may look into Yeater’s alleged backstage tryst with Bieber as a case of unlawful sex with a minor, since the singer was 16 at the time.  If convicted, the violation carries a one-year jail sentence.

Bieber Accuser Says He Went from Cute to Aggressive

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- The 20-year-old woman who claims Justin Bieber fathered her now 4-month-old son says the pop star was “aggressive” and refused to wear a condom the night she says he got her pregnant.

“His whole demeanor changed,” Mariah Yeater told The Insider in an interview airing Monday night.  “It went from cute and gushy…to just more aggressive.”

Yeater’s paternity suit against Bieber, 17, claims their tryst in a backstage bathroom at the Staples Center in Los Angeles following a concert in October 2010 resulted in the birth of her son Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater this July.

She told The Insider their sexual encounter was the first for the then-16-year-old “Never Say Never” star.

“I told him to wear a condom,” said Yeater, who was 19 at the time the alleged tryst took place.  “He said, ‘no,’ that it was his first time and he wanted to feel everything.  So I went with it, in the heat of the moment, and here we are today.”

While Yeater went public, Bieber made only a passing reference to the controversy in an appearance a world away at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast.

“You may have heard a lot of crap on the Internet lately, but I’ve pulled through it,” he said while accepting awards for “Best Male” and “Best Pop Act.”

Bieber’s appearance at the awards show in Belfast also put to rest rumors that he and girlfriend Selena Gomez, who hosted the awards, had split over the allegations.  The two appeared hand-in-hand at events in Belfast over the weekend and Gomez, 19, even poked fun at the controversy in a skit with fellow popstar Katy Perry during the show.

Bieber’s team back in the U.S., meanwhile, spent the weekend hitting back hard against Yeater and the suit.  TMZ reports his lawyer, Howard Weitzman, contacted Yeater’s lawyers on Friday to discuss the suit.

The site also reports Bieber, who claims he has never even met Yeater, will take a DNA test when he returns to the U.S. in two weeks, and may decide to sue if the results show he is not the father.

“We are going to take every step to defend and protect Justin,” Bieber spokesman Matthew Hiltzik told The New York Post.

The threat of a retaliatory lawsuit from Bieber is not be the only legal trouble facing Yeater.

The Los Angeles Police Department has also not ruled out the possibility they may look into Yeater’s alleged backstage tryst with Bieber as a case of unlawful sex with a minor since the singer was 16 at the time.

If convicted, the violation carries a one-year jail sentence.

Justin Bieber’s Team Calls Paternity Suit ‘Malicious,’ ‘Defamatory’

Jason LaVeris/FilmMagic(LOS ANGELES) -- Justin Bieber’s team is working fast to combat tabloid reports that a young woman filed a paternity suit against the pop star.

“While we haven’t yet seen the lawsuit, it’s sad that someone would fabricate, malicious, defamatory and demonstrably false claims,” Bieber’s publicist told ABC News late Tuesday. “We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations.”

On Tuesday, Star magazine reported that a 20-year-old California woman filed a paternity suit alleging she got pregnant after having sex with Bieber, 17, backstage at one of his Los Angeles concerts. According to the magazine, the woman now wants Bieber to take a paternity test and “provide adequate support for my baby.”

Bieber is currently dating 19-year-old pop star Selena Gomez.
