Johnny Depp Not Anxious to Start Filming New 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Film

MARTIN BUREAU/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Johnny Depp wants to enjoy the release of the latest Pirates of the Caribbean film before he dives into the next sequel in the popular franchise. Depp, who reprises his role of Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, opening May 20, says he has yet to see the script for the as-yet-untitled fifth film in the series.

But he does tell The Hollywood Reporter, "It's not something where I would say, 'Let's shoot it next month to get it out by Christmas 2012.'" He adds, "We should hold off for a bit. They should be special, just like they are special to me."

Currently, he's not officially attached to star in the film.

The Hollywood Reporter says the script for the fifth Pirates of the Caribbean film has already been sent by the screenwriter to Disney.

Johnny Depp Dressed as Jack Sparrow Surprises Fan at School

Photo Courtesy - Disney(LONDON) -- A nine-year-old Pirates of the Carribbean fan, and the rest of her Southeast London Elementary School, got quite a shock when a letter she wrote to actor Johnny Depp received a very personal response.

Beatrice Delap wrote to Depp's character Captain Jack Sparrow after visiting the U.K. set of Pirates of the Carribbean: On Stranger Tides. The little girl wrote that she and her fellow "budding young pirates" were "having trouble mutinying against the teachers. We'd love it if you could come and help."

In response, Depp and several other actors stormed the Meridian Primary School in full character dress, before a stunned school assembly, and then Depp asked to speak personally to Delap. He gave his young fan a hug and advised mutiny wasn't the best idea, "because there are police outside monitoring me."

Someone caught the moment on their cell phone camera and posted the video on YouTube.´╗┐
