(NEW YORK) -- Charlie Sheen will not face criminal charges for trashing his room at the Plaza Hotel in New York City in October.
A New York City Police Department official told E! Online, "There have been no arrests. That case is closed."
Police investigated the incident involving the Two and a Half Men star after the woman Sheen was with, porn star Capri Anderson, filed a criminal complaint alleging she was the victim of assault and harassment. Police arrived on the scene after receiving a call from hotel security and found an "emotionally disturbed individual" shortly after 2:00 a.m. Sheen was later taken to a hospital for observation.
An NYPD insider told E! Online the complaint was not referred to prosecutors because Anderson waited an entire month to file a police report after telling officers at the scene that she was never in danger of being physically harmed. Anderson has hinted that she would file a lawsuit against Sheen, but has yet to do so.
