(PHOENIX) -- Bret Michaels is out of the hospital after undergoing surgery Monday to repair a hole in his heart.
A doctor at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, where the Poison frontman and reality show star had the surgery, said Wednesday, "Because of the successful outcome and Bret’s determination, I believe he will be able to return to normal activity within weeks."
A People magazine source says Michaels is now at home with his fiancée, Kristi Gibson.
The hole in his heart was diagnosed last year, after he suffered a brain hemorrhage.
