Lady Gaga's First Polaroid Product Now Available

ABC/ Ida Mae Astute(NEW YORK) -- Last year, Lady Gaga was named creative director of Polaroid, and earlier this year, she announced some of the products she had a hand in designing for the company. Well, one of those products is now finally available for "Little Monsters" to buy -- at least in her hometown of New York.  Zdnet.com reports that Bloomingdale's flagship store on Manhattan's Upper East Side is now selling Gaga's instant mobile photo printer, which costs $169.99.  The Bluetooth-enabled printer instantly prints pictures from cellphones or other Bluetooth gadgets, and weighs just 15 ounces.  The only catch -- the paper it uses for printing will cost you about 20 bucks a package.

The printer is expected to roll out nationwide in mid-June.  You can also order it from HSN.com, and buy it from Costco.com on June 20th.  No word on when Gaga's two other products -- an "instant" digital camera and camera sunglasses -- will be available.

Lady Gaga Announces Three New Polaroid Products

Photo Courtesy - Streamline/KonLive/Interscope(LAS VEGAS) -- Lady Gaga's vision for Polaroid was on full display Thursday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.  The pop star and Polaroid creative director helped unveil three new Polaroid products, including a pair of sunglasses that also functions as a camera.

Gaga first introduced the GL20 Camera Glasses, which takes pictures and comes with an earpiece that doubles as a USB storage device.  She said the inspiration for the sunglasses came from a prop she used on tour.

Gaga said, "I made these glasses out of iPod screens that I strung together to create glasses that could play movies, and I thought, 'Wouldn't it be wonderful if these were functional?'"

The sunglasses will be released sometime this year.  A retail price has not yet been announced.

The second product announced by Gaga was the GL10 printer.  It's a portable printer that dispenses three-by-four prints of photos taken with cell phones.  Gaga said it's compatible with all Bluetooth-capable phones except for the iPhone, claiming the incompatibility was an issue with Apple, not with Polaroid.  The printer will be released in April and sell for $149.99.

The third new Polaroid product, the GL30 digital camera, is a camera with a built-in printer.  It will be made available sometime during the second half of the year.  No word yet on a price for the camera.
