Report: Rosie O’Donnell Had New Bride Sign Pre-Nup

John Parra/Getty Images(NEW YORK) -- Rosie O’Donnell engaged in eight months of pre-nup negotiations before tying the knot with her new bride, Michelle Rounds, the New York Post reports.

The newspaper quotes sources as saying Rosie was so tough in the negotiations they didn’t get the pre-nup signed until hours before the couple’s June 9 wedding.

One source says, “Both women have health issues, but the pre-nup negotiations were pretty fraught in the days before the wedding.  Rosie just wanted to get it signed under her terms.  She wasn’t in the mood to make any compromises.”

Rosie revealed earlier this month that she recently suffered a heart attack.  Rounds, 40, has been diagnosed with Desmoid tumors.  She underwent surgery days after the couple wed.

Sources tell the Post the 50-year-old Rosie has been “extremely generous to Michelle in the pre-nup,” but Rounds “gets nothing if she cheats.”

Russell Brand Not Interested in Katy Perry's Money

MARK RALSTON/AFP/Getty Images(LOS ANGELES) -- Katy Perry earned $44 million between May 2010 and May 2011, according to Forbes magazine, but she doesn’t have to worry about giving half of it to her soon-to-be ex, Russell Brand, because he’s not interested in a single penny, reports.

Sources tell TMZ the couple did not have a pre-nup, and as a result their marriage is subject to California community property law, which entitles each partner to 50 percent of everything earned during a marriage.

The couple tied the knot in October 2010, which means Brand could have sought some $20 million from the singer, but that apparently is not going to happen.

A source tells TMZ, “This divorce is as amicable as it gets, and Russell was a mensch [Yiddish for a good person].”  The source says the actor doesn’t want Perry’s money, and is happy to walk away with the money he’s earned.

The website reports Brand’s attorneys filed final divorce papers on Tuesday, but the divorce won’t be made official until June because there's a six-month waiting period.

Photo Courtesy - Geffen Records(LOS ANGELES) -- Looks like it's over between Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. TMZ reports that Ashlee, who wed the Fall Out Boy bass player in May of 2008, has filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences."  The website states that Ashlee is asking for joint legal custody and physical custody of their two-year-old son, Bronx Mowgli, and also wants spousal and child support.  Sources tell TMZ that the couple does not have a prenup.

Simpson and Wentz released a statement through a spokesperson saying, "After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to file for divorce.  We remain friends and deeply committed and loving parents to our son Bronx, whose happiness and well-being remains our number one priority.  We ask that everyone honor our privacy as we navigate this next phase of our lives.”
