(NEW YORK) -- Rachel Uchitel, one of Tiger Woods’ reported mistresses, is launching a new career as a private detective.
The 36-year-old Uchitel tells the New York Post she may have experience with married men who cheat, but she’s more interested in finding missing persons.
Uchitel says, “Obviously, people want to go down the ‘cheating’ road and assume it’s all about me finding cheating spouses, but I’m less interested in that. I’m more interested in...missing people, cold cases.” She adds, “I want to solve cases for the underdog, for people who don’t have a voice.”
The Post reports Uchitel was trained at the L.A.-based DGA Detectives Academy, and will be employed at owner Dale Gustafson’s private eye agency, which has associates in Las Vegas and New York. Gustafson says Uchitel is very smart and her final exam score of 97 was third-best amongst hundreds who have graduated from the school over the past 15 years.
Gustafson says Woods' former lover is “very meticulous and careful, and good with details,” adding, “she’s not afraid to ask the hard questions.”
Uchitel also underwent weapons training in Los Angeles and has applied for a gun license in both California and New York. She says she can handle the powerful .357 Magnum but prefers a 9mm pistol, telling the Post, “I love the Glock.”
